I often prefere a womans voice, but in GomTV, i can't remember her name, but they had a female commentator for a short while. Perfect eyecandy, but she didn't contribute to the commentating. So i would love to see a professional, clever female commentator. Cleavage isn't all, SUIT UP!

Still, keep it going, you're doing great! =)

Why does a woman have to dress "properly" while Day9 can be chronically under dressed? Being professional in an e-sports environment could be different from being a professional in a traditional sports environment why not embrace that fact. Nobody is sitting in front of the computer all dressed up.

She doesn't have to dress fancy. She can dress down. I just don't want to be bombarded with cleavage. It cheapens the game. To me you are trying to cover up some shitty part of your show by distracting me with boobs. She can wear stuff off the Handsome Nerd or Jinx, I don't care.

I wonder if a man showed his man cleavage, would we get the same reaction as this thread?

Aw, I was hoping this would be for BroodWar, like Kazart and his wife LOL. I'll listen to some.

I clicked on two videos 'oh I'm gonna be casting alone this time' Then I found one where you are actually dual casting: 'how are you feeling today kitty?' 'I'm actually feeling a little bit congested...'

Sorry, but I stopped there haha... Maybe I will check back again in a month to see if you've gotten better :o

I just subscribed and I wish you luck But like other people said hopefully you have solid commentator skills as well as a "unique" style, and a knowledge of the game mechanics, because there are a handful of VERY good commentators already on the field. Also hopefully you don't solely count on your "feminine assets" in order to gain popularity

Anyway good luck and thanks for bolstering sc2 community.

Man, if McCain was warned for that brilliant post, I think the TL rules are (becoming?) a bit strict.

Bravo sir, I spit out my soda over that pic.

I agree that we shouldn't cheapen the game and turn this into an oogling fest, but at the same time it could have just been an honest mistake. I mean can you seriously call them out for not thinking of the politics?

@OP - You guys should put a little bit of information about yourselves, I think it would serve to garner general interest. Keep up the good work!

hey everyone, kitty here. krytos and I laughed at some of these comments, especially the screenshot lol. krytos swears he was staring at the other kitty. Usually we wouldn't take the time to address some of the comments here that are not constructive, but some of these we thought we could clarify.

Boobs. I have em. You guys are correct. How should I dress? Lol, I dress however I feel like depending on the weather. Sweats during the winter, dresses during the summer (it's summer now btw =P). Just like the other commentators, Krytos and I do not change our clothes to cast any of our videos. We simply dress in our everyday clothes and keep it real. I did have a good laugh at everyone's analysis at what is appropriate for me to wear. Don't look into it that seriously guys, honestly. We are here to build our commentating skills, bring content to the community (buffet analogy at the top), and have fun for ourselves in the process. If you guys want to have deep philosophical discussions about gender roles, "appropriate" clothing, gimmicks, sexualization of women, etc. that's up to you guys. Krytos and I are not here to talk about a women's studies class, but our goal is to honestly work hard on commentating.

Anyway, even though we're not the best and are still learning lots, krytos and I are serious about improving and building some serious content (as noted with the 50~ uploads in less than 2 weeks). Whether or not people believe that we are more than a gimmick is up to them to decide, we know what we are here for, and we plan to keep on doing it =)

Thanks again to all the supporters =) We hope to keep improving and contribute to esports gaining more momentum.

i have a few questions for kitty, and krytos too i guess since u guys insist on sharing account

1. i really like ur buffet analogy can u expand on that one?
2. what is ur cat's name?
3. r u guys dating? more specifically, is kitty dating any1
4. if u r single, would u consider dating any gamers from the community?

edit: my first 2 questions r not as important to me so if u don't have much time, u can skip them

Solutions:

If you want to make an announcement video, you don't need to aim a camera at yourself to do it:

If you insist on being visible, and you still want what you're saying to be the focus of the video, you need to cut back on distractions:

If you do not try to cut down on distraction, your video comes out like this:

And no, I'm not telling you to be like those commentators. I know you want to be different. However, if you want to improve and be taken seriously, I don't see why you wouldn't want to make your announcement videos more focused.

Because that's just how it is.
Any female in a massively male majority community is going to get bashed for whatever reason.
Wearing "non-revealing" clothing would have at least prevented most of the comments in this thread from being cleavage jokes.

That's kind of a disgusting argument. It's the same line of reasoning that says a person deserved to raped because of what they wore. It excuses whatever irresponsible and immature behavior the guys display, while something that a person should have a personal choice with, whether in the public eye or not, is condemned as irresponsible. She wasn't really wearing anything out of the ordinary outside of this forum. If you're past puberty, then you're past *having* to stare whenever you see the slightest skin. I'm more concerned about the duo improving their casting...

Yes. Lets compare cutting down on spam with rape. Makes perfect sense.

I enjoyed the commentaries Krytos has done and having two casters whether one be female or not. Is almost always better than one as long as they don't talk over eachother constantly(I'm looking at you Raelcun!), conflicting views and a bit of banter in the lulls of a game.
I enjoy watching more than playing.

Having watched these two individuals try to drum up attention to their commentary channel since the beginning; the whole playing innocent is a gimmick.

This group has been constantly spamming forums and using suggestive wording in their threads in effort to try to get people to watch them for quite a while now. They get called out each time for how bad their commentaries are due to the fact that the guy is using the girl as a gimmick to get people to watch when the girl knows nothing of this game period. They eventually get called out, leave the thread and come back in 24 hours to spam again.

It gets really old fast, but lets be honest. If you're good, you don't need to use your sexuality to score viewers.

I will say I am impressed at the amount of people who saw right through the gimmick and how she is being exploited.

I won't bash them to hard because I think they get that every time they spam their threads. I just hope they get good so at least they are interesting to watch.

You can't hate on the girl for wearing skimpy clothing. The entire point of their channel is try to score viewers via this girl. Its a gimmick, sex sells.

I think once she actually learns how to play computer games and shows a genuine interest in it outside of being forced into it, the cast could probably be great.

Hmm, that didn't sound very positive did it. I can sense the banhammer coming. I should tech burrow while I got the chance.

Anyways I wish you guys luck. I may not agree with your advertising tactics and exploitation of women but, I can respect your willingness to put yourself out there and try it. So kudos.
