Great! I'm glad to see more and more Korean progamers making the switch to SC2. I'm very curious how they will compare to the current foreigner scene. Hopefully the skill gap will become a bit smaller so there can be global competition, rather than having an isolated Korean competition while the silly foreigners try to catch up (actually I'd like the term foreigner to disappear completely as it's equivalent to "a sub-Korean level of Starcraft" ).

Thanks Artosis for making this happen, I will surely try to get SangHo invited to a tourney in the future Also big <3 to Hwanni for being our portal to Korean eSports, always so polite and funny, even when white guys come in and claim him to be "the Robin to their Batman"

Keep those vids coming!
I think esports is pretty nice.

LOL KOREANS ARE OVERRATED

I'd say the best sc2 player of the beta was Tester, and he was still one of the worst progamers around for broodwar. Seriously, when more broodwar pros start switching over (although most will stay for now), people who aren't familiar with the broodwar proscene are gonna be like, why do the Koreans rape so hard at this game?

Yes, its a new game and foreigners will do much better versus koreans than they did in broodwar, where there was only one in a pro team at the end, but the average skill level already seems to be higher on the Asia server, and that skill gap is definitely not going to shrink.

Moon has been equally dominant throughout his career and Korea had by far the most top WC3 players.

The only reason why Koreans weren't as dominant in WC3 is because the game didn't catch on in Korea compared to BW. There were few proteams and they didn't last long. Also WC3 is not as mechanically demanding, so long hours of practice don't pay off as much.

We'll see how things will turn out with SC2. I predict that Koreans will still be by far the most dominant nation. They have the best infrastructure and the largest talent pool.

WC3 is as mechanically demanding as you make it. Moon was the 5th race because he was mechanically very solid in addition to being as good a strategist as other top players. When artosis watched moons FPview he said its like watching bisu play wc3

I didn't say it is not mechanically demanding. It's just certainly not as demanding as BW. Mostly because in BW you're always doing something, whereas in WC3 there are plenty of downtimes and high APM is rarely ever needed outside of battles, and there's not that much multi-tasking compared to BW (although still plenty of it compared to pretty much any other RTS game).

to be fair, Tester made the top 16 of OSL last year. he's been around a long time, and had a pretty successful career, especially considering most of it was on eSTRO during the dark years where they couldn't buy a win.

SangHo I think could be ridiculously good at SC2, similar level to Tester imo!

I got the mic now, and am getting better at camera settings, so new videos should be better quality.

You know ... among progamers, Sangho is a good-looking guy, with a pretty cool demeanor. I hardly noticed until now because I generally underrate the Estro team.

Thanks for the interview, Artosis and Hwanni. Also, congratulations on getting a new video camera.
