I wouldn't say that at all, you can be good and not be talented at all. Being good means you do what is considered the norm in whatever field may be, in this case SC2. Talented on the other hand means you are naturally good without training/practice, and consistently come up with innovative play. That said IdrA is a good player at SC2, but in terms of 'talent' that's really up in the air because sure he follow mechanics well and does successfully in SC2 tournaments but lets be honest with ourselves here has he added anything really NEW to the SC2 game, or SC in general? Not so much.

Well perhaps not, but in any case just because you might not classify a player such as IdrA as 'talented' he's certainly skilled, regardless of how much training it has taken him to get where he is in SC2 currently.

Following you'r definition of ''talented'' idra being the guy who trains more than anybody else would be pretty untalented. I believe idra is pretty talented as he shows great stuff, and you need some talent so that your hardwork pays off. But he isn't one of those genious players as SangHo said, as there is some people who are just so good crazy good by nature and their playstyle just shows that.

It seems that the gap will not be as large or even as close to as large as in bw because of how much easier it is to macro in sc2 (I hope this is not the case though). Good interview. This sounds really cool. The skill gap wont be as large but it wont have anything to do with sc2 being an easier game or not. It will be because SC2 is a new game. People have to realize that the bw progamers are only god-like at Brood War. They aren't god like at other games, and well sc2 is another game. However, its obvious that due to similarities, they won't be noob at sc2 and of course they will probably quickly gain skill in sc2 and progress through the ranks pretty quickly.

Anyways I'm glad he was able to bounce back after all the crap that happened to him, I;m glad he hasn't lost faith in ESPORTS and is returning. Thanks Artosis and Hwanni ![]() You obviously don't remember how much of a baller GARIMTO looked in his interview. "4 ZIP-UP HOODIES! WHERE ARE YOUR POPPED COLLARS NOW?" Anyways it was a very fun and interesting interview, finally someone remembered that there are actually foreigners giving their best and all. Also to all posters agreeing with Sangho on IdrA being untalented, bear in mind that IdrA has grown a lot since estro and that the language barrier is always hard to break.
