Hi, all. I'm new here, and I come from China.
I'm not just complaining about policy by our goverment here and I'm not come here for keys, but I just want to share something with everyone from TL.net which is I seen the best SC/SC2 community.
As you all know, that China was NOT invited as beta test for SC2. Because of that CERTAIN DIVISION which nobody knows the exact name about and its ASSESSMENT for all imported games.
I work in a chinese game website as website editor for the precinct of sc2, but I didn't got any beta key from US or TW server. I'm a starcraft fan for many years too, I may not play good in match games, but I just love this game with the gameplay and the storyline. I can't wait for the squel of the best RTS game ever, in my homeland.
So, as many similar game info websites in china or maybe most region of the world, each precinct has its own forum for fans to talk about the game and meet new partners for game. And in my precinct I see something that gets me, something made me run to here and cry this out loud. We are sc fans.
Some people in the forum luckly got a beta key for US server or TW server, however most people still have to use some tools to play melee game with AI or RPG maps. Althought SC2 may finally become another WC3 that the minigames dominions in China, but most of us would like to logon to b.net and play with ppl around the world, so this is what happened.
Some people start to share their account with these they never meet before on the forum. Yes, thats what exactly happened. Most of these accounts been shared more than 10 times a day. People logon to b.net, look around what it is looks like, and with such high latency play some matchup games and been defeated. But yes, everyone still happy about. Those have 1 or more accounts with beta key, share their account selflessly, and these who got the chance to play with these accounts, they are grateful to these who was been kind. And later, he or she could run to his friend and says,"Yes, I'm lucky and proud to play online!"
This is what exact happened in my precinct, and with the beta goes on, this will last till the beta is over. Even now, there are many people sharing their account to others with limited time, and many people is keep pressing F5 and waits for the previous player logoff, its owner change password and share to him/her, or wait for the previous player lend the account to them.
In China, especially for MMO games, there are many hackers steals other's account for its own benefit. But this time, no one take the account and change password then keep it for themselve. No one would and everyone keep the rule well. I never see anyone complain lost of his account or someone took the account and disappear. We love this game, from the bottom of our heart. Just like what we had in 2008 Olympic games. This is what they done and get me, into the bottom of my heart - One world, one starcraft
Well, this post is just share what I saw here, I'm not complain about my country or whatever they are. I just want to say thanks to these guys (even I didnt ever to ask ) for their kindness to share account and everyone would have a chance to experience online gaming. And, thanks to all who read this wall of text. I love TL.net and so the game of starcrafts.
BTW : as b.net can invite a friend, they also invite people to in the forum too. And many people ordered the collector edition from Amazon is also sharing their account. Afterward they are still sharing accounts to ppl
EDIT : To all those ppl who donate keys or encourage us, please read this http://bbs.duowan.com/thread-16618055-1-1.html
your keys shall be shared to these chinese SC fans
we love you all TLers for your kindness and encouragement, as much as we love starcrafts

That's pretty amazing, you'd think someone would be the "rotten apple" and ruin everyones fun, but I'm glad there hasn't been one so far

Yeah, really amazing how people work together for SC2 in China. Hope everything will sort out with Blizzard so the Chinese Esports scene can grow well.

i think many people in china play at pc pubs. if someone tried to change the password on an account, his friends at the pc pub will hurt him

yes, you mentioned it. and most the pc pub is not "clean" sometimes the pub owner working on stealing account or something like that
but in china, some city like Beijing, the pc in pc pub is being monitoring and they blocked all p2p downloading tools, websites (and u guys may know that p2p is very common in China now) and you can't even download anything to the pc. and the pc shall reset extra data after restart the computer or system crash ( in the puc this is common tool due their unclean os)
so for large sized game such as SC2 and play it in the puc is much more difficult

governments are for people. but sometimes they act like people are for governments.
i felt really sad when i read the post. i live in turkey and i know what it is like to have a government like that. i hope chinese people will have more freedom in the near future.
my friends and i have lots of keys. (more than some key contests offer) i will share them.

Wow, that's pretty cool.
Once again, China gets shafted.
I hope Blizzard would wake up and put a server in China.

You have to wait for an email with extra keys asking you to invite a friend.
Nice post though

Every so often, Blizzard emails people currently in the beta a key to share with a friend. No real notice about when it's going to happen ahead of time.
