IM still giving one key out, sorry for hijacking but I cant make threads, i still need deserving people to send me a pm and tell me why you want a key no one with less than 100 posts will get a key Ive already given one away to one person with a post count of 669, I want people who will contribute back much like what Joey.rumz is getting at.

If I can get a short list of European and surrounding countries that aren't being handed keys I will make some sort of competition that will receive a key.

Its probably easier to figure out a list of European countries that DO have pre-order key, and look at the rest.
As far as I'm aware, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Belgium and Holland have deals. Everyone else doesn't, I believe.

Well, from what I've gathered Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany and Benelux have pre-order deals. Unless someone knows about other deals the rest of Europe still don't (although I'd personally expect something to pop up at least in the UK).

Germany has semi pre-order key cause just able to get by pre-order at amazone but no collectors edition avaivable

It looks also like the game in Germany will be censored. If you preorder at amazon.de you will get the censored version because it has an age rating of 12+.If this is worth a betakey has everyone to decide for himself.

Okay, R1CH replied and said he would IP check. So the list I am using is just going to be the list we saw -Italy on the list after seeing that website. When the HDH is done after the Plott brothers play, the contest thread will go up!

Great idea. May add that it is far easier for some countries to get a key than others due to cost of shipping. For example, even though NZ doesn't have keys, they can get them from Australia. Same goes for some Euro countries.

AFRICA dude! thats not a country its a continent! There are 10 keys in my country all being occupied by media people...not really competitive players. I have a SCBW lan at my house for at least 2x per month the past 10 years. We play nothing else other than SC! As much as we love BW, we would are desperate to play SC2. My key will be shared with about 15 people! I hope that you consider us!

I am new to the community. I live in Cyprus (small island in the south of Europe) and I doubt that there will be any beta key deals here, as we are a very small market (only 800 000). If you could be kind and sent me a key I would really appreciate it, hell I will even play with you as long as you want, you can test new strategies on me :D.

Being from the UK, there is no obvious way of getting a beta key as far as I’m aware (tried and failed in lots of competitions). I’m tempted to pre-order from a country where beta keys are being given out (eg amazon.de), but I don’t know if international orders will be honoured. Also, don’t know if I’ll be able to cancel once the beta code has been used. Aggh! Feels like such a cheap thing to do, but desperate times deserve desperate measures! Or perhaps I’ll just wait to see if amazon.co.uk comes up with a similar promotion.

Germany has a tradition of strict censorship regulations, I'm not sure if that's where you want to turn. 12game (where I ordered my copy) has a field for filling in your country when ordering. I'm pretty sure they ship to the UK, but I don't know how much the shipping will be (nor how long it will take). In general a Dutch copy shouldn't differ from the UK version in any regard apart from that you probably will have Dutch/French text on the box.

I think its question of days until more countries gonna have pre-orders with Beta-keys. I checked amazon.de and did not find anything about you need to be from germany... So you could try out  But I personally would try to wait at least till the end of week, maybe the next week.

Hmm, I kind of assumed that the first entry excluded all of Europe since that is treated individually in the country-list so "any non-Anglo-Saxon country outside of Europe" might be more precise but whatever, I think you got your list worked out

You are basically alienating newcomers to the site (Which you should be glad for).
I agree, some may be browsing the site for beta key lurking only. But most have come with Starcraft 2 launch being pretty close.
I myself follow many sites, and and recently this one, however I haven't been here for months/years so my post count is low.
On the other hand I don't know much about the game (Since I don't have beta) so there is no way for me to make decent posts about it. But spamming random posts with a common replies for me to be eligible for a beta key contest just defeats the purpose of contributing.
Not all of us are forum posters. We don't all have super-important-stuff to say but we still enjoy the site, use it, read all the forums (as a lot of posts are indeed very interesting) and watch the live streams, or even betting with liquibet.

You can have a high post count and not contribute, but you can't contribute without a high post count. I have to disagree with you. You can certainly contribute with a low post count. By your logic this guy here shouldn't deserve a beta key, since he has only 1 post count, right?
I do agree people who have contributed to TL should be given priority, but post counts are an inaccurate way of determining contribution, especially between newcomers. Those who are new to the scene usually have nothing much to contribute, thus there isn't really a difference between having 100 posts, 10 posts or 1.

I'm not saying I'm here only for beta, because I'm not. I'm mainly here for forums, map scene and vods. I got the theory pretty good so far ready for sc2 . And I'm not a newcomer to BW. However I see no need to get in ICCUP to be allowed to be a part of this scene.
And I realise it's not this site's job to welcome newcomers. But being friendly to people is admirable.

If you are in those countries and have access to a key, don't try to grab one.
Edit: If you are in S.A. or Asia and try to grab this key and I research after pulling your name, I will be very upset that you tried to scam someone else on TL that had a legitimate chance at getting a key they don't have easy access to.
