I bought the special edition + a .99 game (MADDEN rofl) and it only gave me a 25 CENT discount. I e-mailed game stop and hopefully I can figure out what is going on. Anyone else experience this? I'm having a near conniption because I wasn't planning on charging $100 to my card...
Someone on the slickdeals thread reports the same thing. Maybe they fixed it so that the coupon no longer works on pre-orders?

Just call your local GameStops. I just got mines 10 minutes ago on my receipt for $5.00. in Miami, FL.

Got my key via receipt. =)
I paid cash so does that mean I don't have to buy from GameStop when the game comes out? Cause I would like to wait to see if they have promotional discounts in the future.

Just got my key for $5 in Amherst MA!
Downloading now I am so happy I could cry

Pre-order isn't a contract to buy the game; they can't track you down and force you to pay the other $55 in exchange for the game. You certainly can consider it a $5 beta key. ^_^

the 25 cents off is discount just for the Madden game...There should be another $25 discount posted for SC2 CE [i'm assuming you got the collectors]. If not, you should call up Gamestop.

You can have your key now for $60+tax or wait 24hours and get $60+25%off+tax.

Same thing happened to me. I am pretty annoyed. I can drive 10 minutes to get a beta key tonight, but I thought, "Hey, I'll order online and save some $, even if I have to wait an extra day or two for the beta key."
When I was processing the order, it showed the correct total in the last step before I pressed the "Submit" button for the final time... then when the order receipt came up, it had a new higher total, which was with 25% only applied to the little extra item I bought to bump the order over $100.
I am raging pretty hard, because now I can't figure out how to cancel the order completely. There's no option for it on the website, as far as I can tell. I've e-mailed them and I'm waiting for a response. Let me know if you hear anything on your end, I will do the same.

I just called GameStop's customer service and got my pre-order canceled. It was pretty easy.
