While you may have a point, complaining about a contest on a BW site when you say you have never installed BW is probably not the way to go. That is the only thing people are going to pick up on. It begs the question, why are you even here?

Most accounts on these beta key giveaways are new. It's pretty disappointing really.

I disagree. I believe that anyone on this site should be on a level playing field for these clues. We should not have to download files, or TV shows to be able to compete. There are people that are at work, or at simply not able to download these files. Finally, for the second clue, there are likely a ton of people, such as myself, that never had SC1 installed. This immediately puts anyone that does have it installed at an immediate disadvantage.

Does not make competitive sense to me. On the other hand, it is free beta keys with no obligation to play. But, I chose to voice my opinion on the first two clues.

1) It's the way you "disagree".
2) what kind of argument is it, that you're at work or haven't played starcraft? I assume you also never followed team liquid, good luck in clues about TL topics and staff then. Or maybe try to grab a key on facebook which is more "fair".

I am extremely disconcerted that you do not like the way I disagree. I will attempt you be more accommodating to your sensitive nature the next time I post.

If you don't have starcraft installed or are unwilling to leave work to go home and compete for a Beta Key, that's your own decision.

If you still feel that it is unfair, feel free to PM an admin of the website.

To make the contest more fair I would have suggested posting 'Be sure to have Starcraft ready!' instead of what you posted about the ICCup launcher. I did not put 2+2 together, and did not have SC installed when the post was put up. Also, to address my first complaint, I was not happy about having to download episodes (illegally) to be able to screenshot them, and post. That was before the rules were changed.

But it is your contest you're free to make it as fair/unfair as you want. Likely you could have just given the keys to 500 select people, whomever you wanted. I would just like my chances of winning the contest to not be eliminated because I did not have the foresight to install SC, or something similar for the next clues.

It would be unfair only if he told some people to have SC installed and not others. What you are complaining about has nothing to do with fairness and everything to do with the nature of the contest. It's pretty damn random and that can be annoying when you've been waiting for a clue to pop up and you realize you can't even attempt it.

Thank you. That is all I was trying to say. I waited around for an hour, realized I needed SC installed to compete, and realized I wasted my time. I was frustrated by that, and decided to post my complaints on the forums. As I said in my last post, though, is that whomever is running the contest, and is in control of the keys has no obligation to make it fair for me, or anyone else. Likely the people running the contest will attempt to make it as fair as possible, but if it is not we have no recourse except to hold silent, or complain on the forums.

I don't think it's out of the realm of expectation that you have starcraft installed. I mean what if you don't have access to a text editor or the computer capability to take screenshots? Nothing can be perfectly fair. This is fine.
