What, I don't get is, TL is giving stuff out for free (that is no money style free), and people complain that they either can't jump through the hoops or don't want to. Its not like they designed the clues to screw you personally, and if you don't want to jump through the hoops, then clearly you aren't desperate for a Key, as some as the fanatics like myself.
In short they are the ones giving, they get to make the rules.

It would be unfair only if he told some people to have SC installed and not others. What you are complaining about has nothing to do with fairness and everything to do with the nature of the contest. It's pretty damn random and that can be annoying when you've been waiting for a clue to pop up and you realize you can't even attempt it.

Thank you. That is all I was trying to say. I waited around for an hour, realized I needed SC installed to compete, and realized I wasted my time. I was frustrated by that, and decided to post my complaints on the forums. As I said in my last post, though, is that whomever is running the contest, and is in control of the keys has no obligation to make it fair for me, or anyone else. Likely the people running the contest will attempt to make it as fair as possible, but if it is not we have no recourse except to hold silent, or complain on the forums.

Unfortunately for myself, I was trying to sort proxies so that I could actually access the episodes for clue 1 when the rules were changed.
I'm totally new to the SC scene. I've become addicted recently after watching some TL streams. As such, I don't have SC1 so clue 2 wasn't working for me. I'd have gone and bought it but there's no hope I'd have won anyway.
Finally, as I've recently had surgery, I need to go and take some time away from the PC now, so I wish you all good luck with the rest of the clues!
