Another quick update to those who care. Unfortunately the only way to check this is if you have a friend online where you can check his profile to see where he stands in the rankings. (Blizzard really needs to fix this).
Div 17 not taken into account for any of this, didn't have the data yet. Will be in next week though.

2. Smuft went 110-43 (72%) this week. This is 9% lower than their overall win rate going into this week (81%). new overall win rate: 78%
3. Lorelei went 75-49 (60%) this week. This is 13% lower than their overall win rate going into this week (73%). New overall win rate: 67%
4. CowGoMoo went 7-2 (77%) this week. This is 15% lower than their overall win rate going into this week (92%). New overall win rate: 91%
5. vOidwards went 37-26 (62%) this week. This is 9% lower than their overall win rate going into this week (71%). New overall win rate: 70%
6. CrunCher went 43-31 (58%) this week. This is 13% lwoer than their overall win rate going into this week (71%). new overall win rate: 68%

Some other observations.
1. Average decline in this weeks records with their overall win percentage from all games before this week was 9.3%
Analysis: The field is tightening quickly. Not a single player who was the top of a platinum leage last week was able to maintain their same win percentage. This clearly shows that the field as a whole is getting better.
2. Overall win rates of these 10 players dropped an average of 2.7% The large dispartiy between this and the weekly declind of 9.3% suggests to me that the game is tightening faster than the win loss rates indicate as its the volume of games these players played early on that really helps keep their records looking so incredible.
3. The total record of these players this week was 546-358 (60%).

I posted last week's in the OP as well, Protoss still dominating in #1 spots. The top 8 ranks evened a little, but I think that's only because I added like 10 more divisions since last week and the newer divisions are still kinda fluctuating for stats and top spots (a bunch of the teen ones have like 4 terrans who are like 40-20 records and shit). Just look at Div 18, I probably should have left it out.

the reason why win rate is going down is because ever since either the first or second patch, blizzard fixed the matchmaking system to where it is willing to take a lot longer to find an opponent to actually match your skill level. a lot of people had inflated records before the first-second patch because the previous matchmaking system would match you up with a noob if it didnt find a capable opponent within the first 10 seconds of search.

I just discovered that the number of ladders you can access through your friends is limited. What it means is that if you have a large number of people on your friend list and you look at "Your friend's leagues", it will display only the leagues for your 30 highest ranking friends. If it was only that, it would be fine, but no...even if you look at your friend's profile, and he's ranked outside that top 30 of your list, you will not even be able to see it's ladder, unless you have someone else in that top 30 in that same division.
In short, that makes it a total nightmare to have people on the 22+ 2v2 platinum ladders on your friend's list as well as having your real friends on there. Specially when you have players that rank high in all their teams (which often ended up with 2 teams in the same league...)
That specific limitation just set me back at least half an hour of profile browsing to find players on every 2v2 ladders...
edit : does anyone have the full ID of BuMrUsH (or something like that), he's the only player I have on the 2v2 division 4...? I would also need the full ID of at least one player in the 2v2 Plat. divisions 19 and 21 ??
With these info I should be able to post the entire 2v2 platinum league (well, unless there are more than 22 divisions).

I wrote a script yesterday morning that does this, I'll be posting it but it might be a day or two as news or something. It adds up the winrates of all the top 8 though by race, not individual players.
Thanks for posting this. Also, the friends don't need to be online, they just have to be in your list (and it looks to me like you don't need to be mutual friends or whatever to do it).

I gotta admit it feels pretty good to be number one in division 18. I'm the terran named Nikola. I went from bronze league (lol i know, so bad) to gold and just now have been put into platinum. Took a bit to get to number one in platinum though. Gotta get to 2000 ELO gogogo

Whoever puts in the most time, will dominate. Similarly, whichever region has the best E-Sports infrastructure will most likely dominate. Hopefully MLG, Blizzard, and others don't screw up the perfect storm for SCII. SC II could very well be as big as Halo in the NA E-Sports scene (Contracts of millions, ESPN televised, etc.). My (Lorelei) winrate dropped too because I switched races from Protoss to Terran
I lost 100+ points when I did that from losing so many games off that lol.

Can someone actually work in a top 200(updated) like the threads before, although the highest in divisions is nice to know it is always a little skewed depending on the players in the divisions themselves, for example a #1 being a 1300 in division x while division y can have 2000.

Makes sense and its things like that that statistics unfortunately do not easily capture.

Still haven't found anyone in division 17. My guess is that the leader of division 17 still has a small elo and hasn't played any of the top rank platinums from other divisions.

i know u are super high rank so u probably know better than me, but it has been my feeling that games are longer in sc2. However, this may just be an illusion since games usually get to later tech than sc1, but in reality buildings and tech all build/research faster than in sc1.

Overall win rates of these 10 players dropped an average of 2.7% The large dispartiy between this and the weekly declind of 9.3% suggests to me that the game is tightening faster than the win loss rates indicate as its the volume of games these players played early on that really helps keep their records looking so incredible. 3. The total record of these players this week was 546-358 (60%).
Actually the main reason for the drop in win rates is that they changed the AMM system around the time the first Platinum Division Leader Rankings was released.
Gnomey works at blizzard but doesn't seem to want others to know that.

Just as I suspected the leader has a low elo or whatever it's called, which is why I wasn't having any luck finding anyone from division 17. Last game was a loss to a 54% rank 1 silver player. Probably the weakest platinum division at the moment.

I mean, we don't have to worry about the super fast warp gate rush (which I do believe was imba and needed to be fixed somehow) and hydras are a bit weaker which is pretty nice.

Hydra's aren't really weaker. A .05 attack speed "nerf" is hardly noticeable. Roach/Hydra still owning.
Actually Xeris, Terrans are losing way more than they are winning in the Plat and Gold Leagues. Terran is just much weaker than Zerg and Protoss right now. Could you please show us how its done?
Lately I've seen a lot of Zerg's go pure zergling/baneling, and that combo is devastating. You really can't go air too much because they'll just run you over on the ground, and banelings literally destroy everything on the ground of Terran. Banelings w/ speed upgrade + creep = can't micro them down. Just about every Zerg spreads the whole map with creep now ;/

I think the hydra nerf is kinda significant as hydras are basically support damage for roaches at the moment. Also the burrow cost/time change is going to make openings in zvz a little more random but maybe make fast expanding possible i dont know;;

if burrow is same cost as in BW i think it should be moved back to teir 1 imho. It was fine at lair because it was 50/50 but now that it's back to 100/100 (like bw) it should be lowered.
As for the hydras, the nerf really only shows itself when you have like over 10 maybe 20 hydras. Where the 1/10 of a second actually adds up to something noticeable. The other time it shows is when an air unit haplessly runs into a group of hydras, it won't be drilled so hard before it retreats.

I was impressed at how fast I could destroy my record by switching race (I was about 70-45 when I joined the division), but oh well, it's all because there's a reset coming ^_^

They need to reorganize the ladder there are 90 ppl in my division some divisions have like 50 others barely have 30. imo every week or so they should re do the ladder orgination putting to top in elo going down so highest would be division 1 first rank, 2 highest would be division 2 first place etc etc

I don't know how TvT is on higher levels but when I played it was like a tank wraith TvT.

zvz does get boring due to it still being ultra hard to stop 1 base mass roach, I've been messing with mass lings and expos but it's such a hard life.

Say what? That sounds like a total contradiction of what their FAQ said. The FAQ says no distinction between divisions from the same league, this blue says there's definitely distinction.
