It's game from one of SC2 battlereports,thus it means some time before beta arrived (this game was played).
In video I can see Stalkers Blink up to a cliffs and etc. without having the view (or sight) of that cliff or uphill terrain.
I tried this and tested it and my Stalkers can only Blink up a cliff if they have a vision of it.
Did Blizzard removed this functionality of Blink before the beta (maybe they thinked it's imbalanced - but what about Reapers then? ) or I'm missing something?

They say in that battle report that you need vision to blink up to high ground that you can't see. This is evident when P has to wait for an ob to spot for him.

on a related note, I'm going to give away my little secret finding. If you get vision of the island between the mains on scrapyard (I guess an ob power builded would be the fastest way?) you can blink to the island, then blink to the enemies base. Nydus for protoss O_O

This was only in the very early public versions and was removed like a year or two ago. Now they can only blink into vision.

I don't understand why Stalkers need vision and reapers don't... Then again if reapers needed vision they'd be pretty useless as an early game harass unit ;P

If you have reapers you probably have scan, and you can thus have vision of anything.

I think this is fair reasoning, and one of the two situations need to be changed.

But mostly you have already Blink and Stalkers by deafult versus Terran and also an Observer so it means you don't need to invest to Warp Prism if you want to do that. You basically cut corners and get your strategy to work, just other way around.
btw. did you try to double-chrono at same time? I think it doesn't speed up the production for 100% (50%+50%)?
btw. why do I see Protosses doing 9 pylon everytime?

Stalkers Blinking up cliffs would be a much bigger deal than Reapers. Reapers cannot hold their own in a fair fight, they die quickly. A large Stalker force bypassing the ramp could GG players way too easily.
It would make sense to put a "Blink without LoS" upgrade on a higher-tech building like the Dark Templar Obelisk however. It could be a very cheap upgrade at that location.

What happens when a Reaper attempts to jump a cliff without LoS and the cliffed area is just filled with buildings? Does it jump back off after the buildings are revealed?
