It seems like its very hard to go up from gold to platinum since you get so few ELO points. Wish I could redo the placement games :p I feel like 4/5 people I play don't have solid build orders so I am not learning a lot from replays.

From watching the Platinum matches it's the same thing there too. Don't worry, it's early, and people are experimenting (Although by watching many of the SC1 players seems they totally forgot all the skills from SC1..../shrug).

nMn, is that you on SC2? "nMn" 2nd in my division, I'm 3rd but "nMn" and Kiwikaki plays so fucking many games i can't catch up, and I lost vs kiwikaki, I didnt even know air units attacked colossis

haha the people on WCreplays gave oversky so much shit for being bad when he posted his War3 videos. He is higher ranked then basically all of them in SC2. Even though the beta pool is small it's still funny.

Yeah, colussus can be hit by AtA. Corruptors vs colossus are hilarious :S (20 damage per vs. massive)

Edit: What's the highest rating gain any of you have gotten from a single win today? I'm averaging about 6 per at the moment (got 12 once) =/ Seems like a lot of mass games are required at the moment.

Gahhh, how the hell can I move up to platinum? I've been #1 gold with like 100 elo points over the next guy for years. I feel like I'm wasting my time in gold, as it seems 99% of TL is in platinum.

chances are you've already played people in the platinum division but you've lost those games. Then you play people in the gold division and win them

my suggestion is to win more games

Obviously, since you'll have to buy the actual retail game, and it would be pretty silly if there were people on the ladder without actual Starcraft 2 accounts :p

This thread makes me wish I didn't spend time playing 2v2 and custom games with friends so I could maintain a decent spot in Div 2!
