 People back then can't just log on their high speed internet and download a whole 500MB. And yes there will be an official announcement, like when Blizz US wakes up and gets to work. I think the rest of the world of Blizz knows that they are launching today so that's why they were posting and deleting test messages and creating accounts. But we shall see | ||

Yea that was kinda my point, if they have to do it on CDs they certainly aren't going to pop out 40,000 copies for the first wave. SC1 beta was probably very very small, just checking for bugs and testing new b.net features. Where as this beta test is more to check system performance on a huge variety of computers, testing b.net features and load testing the servers, and balancing units and making slight changes. They figure they have most of the bug taken care of at this point. | ||
