You can also scout a little bit latter to see if the expasion is there. What hes trying to explain is that you don't need to SEE everything to actually responde in the right way.

At the end it sounded like he was going to record them but they're not up so I wasn't sure... I'd love to see them too! Day, if you didn't record the last one, can you record the upcoming ones? We'd really appreciate it; it's always exciting to see you play!

"so? if he wall offs you can expect 1 base plays" -> what? no this is 100% wrong " You can also scout a little bit latter to see if the expansion is there" -> this is past the time where most all-in builds hit, and terrans can build their expo in their base, behind that wall "What hes trying to explain is that you don't need to SEE everything to actually responsed in the right way." -> MOST of the time. Not all of the time, sometimes you really have to assume based on experience.

Also, this isn't meant as an attack at Sean in any way. Hell, even half way through the daily he specifically referenced IdrA saying to take him out of the equation since he already knows these techniques. Sean then continued by saying the video was aimed at helping other players understand how to gain information from "non-triggers" (essentially timings based on previous scouting).

I think the purpose of this daily was to teach Zerg players how to scout given limited information, and it would be nice if Sean could just help people out without portions of the community ascribing an ulterior motive to his actions. It's possible that his decision to focus on Zerg scouting was influenced by his discussion with IdrA, but it's not like either of them seemed genuinely upset after their discussion, and I think it's a bit of a stretch of the imagination to assume that Sean is using the Daily as a passive-aggressive medium to argue against IdrA or his followers.

What I thought was hilarious is this was billed as a way to help zerg players. "See, LaLush did this stuff, and now he knows what's coming!" Yeah, and during his attempt to make sure he was safe against everything, he lost the game. Great! Zerg players already know how to lose the game by preparing against too many things at a time. In fact, that was one of the major points of Idra's argument, that if you try to prepare for everything, you die to whichever specific thing is happening, which is again, why scouting is needed. Those extra spines and roach warren that never got used? They cost LaLush bigtime in terms of economy. That's 3 drones down, plus 7 drones worth of minerals, early on in the game.
