Your problem doesn't really apply to "newbies" since ladder stats don't exist for them. And the best way to switch race is obviously the same way you get good at one race to begin with. Practice, Watch replays, Read up on strats and all that good jazz. | ||

I like this idea, but don't forget that you don't necessarily have to change races and immediately start laddering. Practice the new race against the AI, practice builds, macro aspects, micro aspects, etc. Then play some custom 1v1s and then once you get comfortable you can start laddering. Or you can mix up ladder and custom since custom may match you up against way superior or way inferior opponents. Basically there's tons of options | ||

and where's a good place to find this for future reference, besides scanning through a couple pages of comments hoping someone is talking about it? also, does day9 have a last.fm, his music preferences are perfect for sc2. (imo) | ||

Day9 always says the next week's topic at the end of the previous Funday Monday. That's where I look for them. This week's challenge is for zergs: do not build any roaches, banelings, mutas or hydras. You're also allowed to build only a handful of lings at the start. He's hoping to see infestorplay. 12 lings to be exact. mainly to protect your early expo for example. | ||
