a lil off topic, has anyone ever mentioned to day9 about his snaggle tooth? Since he is being on tv and making some good coin, why doesnt he look into fixing that thing, you know to look a little bit moer professional/less goofy.
The two main things that distract me about his show, is when he wears t-shirts and he still some how has sleeves on? Ohh wait, thats just some wicked out of control arm hair, he must be half ape? he should prolly look into shaving or waxing those things or just wear something that covers those beasts. Im sure when he hits it big, make up crew will be all over this shit. I know if I were on tv, I would want to look somewhat presentable. He has straight teeth, its just that one tooth is not proportional to the rest? maybe a bit chipped. I donno, thats a huge thing with me, bad teeth, its not that he has bad teeth at all, not knockin that, but he should get that sucker filled in.
He should have told us the story on what happend to that tooth on his daily 100. On a side note I just want to grab a couple handfulls of arm hair and just yank on them.

Also, has anyone noticed that he trys WAYYYY to hard to sound exactly like Dane Cook? I find Dane cook one of the most annoying stand up comics ever, theres always a 6 hour story before the punch line. Just get to the dog damn point.

Believe me, it's not.
I had the same thinking as you and I switched to Protoss, thinking that I could refine some new, awesome build orders and discover cool new timings to exploit. However, you'll soon find that the tried and true build orders (four-gate, three-gate expand, etc.) are tried and true for a reason. You'll be pigeonholed into using the build orders that are widely accepted as being the best unless you come up with something truly revolutionary or just don't really care about being competitive.

Actually Day9 already told the story about thew chipped tooth in one of his dailies. No, I don't remember neither the story or the daily number.
But if I recall his tooth is like that because some incident/acident.
Maybe someone can tell what really happened?
Edit- Oh crap I only read the 1st sentence and I thought that you 'really' wanted to know if there was any story behind the tooth...Now I just saw that it was kwan...

That's just not true. Blindly following build orders may be the best way to win if you're a weak player, but if you're any good at Protoss you're making on-the-fly decisions about what to chrono boost at the very least.
Neither '4gate' nor '3gate expand' is a specific build. There are TONS of variants of each. With the exception of some super aggro 4gate builds like k4g, most 4gate and 3gate expand builds use a standard gate-core opener and decide based on scouting which of several variants to go. Then there's the decision of what early Gateway units to make and what to do with them... There's a ton of room for complex reactive play in the Protoss early game.

It was Ghost + 1 Nuke before 1. expo and at least 3 nukes in the whole game and everytime you launch a nuke you have to say something that I couldn't understand :S
Maybe it was something what germans don't know :D ?!

I believe that i heard you have to mention ingame that a nuke is coming, and that in a creative funny way. I didnt understand it clearly either.

You hade to announce it with a Dr. Seuss-like rhyming battlecry. Not very adapted for an international audience I'd say, since most non-english speaking people will never have heard of him. Unless you've seen one of the more recent movie adaptions.

Can't recall the daily #, but I believe the story was:
Day9, Tasteless, and their grandfather were playing in their grandparent's backyard, with their Day9/Tasteless lying on the grass whilst their grandpa was kicking a soccerball into the air. Eventually then Day9 happened to catch one in the face that chipped his tooth.

I've been watching a lot of your dailies lately, some of the newer ones, working my way through older ones too. I just watched #100 about your life of starcraft and it was truly, truly inspiring. I know there are times when I need to hear stuff like that, and it delivered on so many levels. I was never any good at Brood War, but I loved it with a passion and told myself that whenever Starcraft 2 came out, and I knew it would, that I would get good at it and try my best, which I attempt to do now despite regular life distractions (school, work, friends, etc.) and despite I'm not in higher leagues yet. Just wanted to thank you for that episode in particular and hope you continue doing what you love, because a lot of people love what you do. Thanks Day[9]!

I really want to participate to this funday monday, can you explain how Dr. Seuss rhymes work? Or give me some examples?
