You use to be able to write your 4th class sait ticket, and just apply, but now they make you do the whole schooling thanggg... so i had to get myself an Edjumakation.
english was never my strongest points. I think I just slipped through every english class by the skin of my ass haha. as you can tell.....
Why did I choose to do this field? because of the baby boomers retireing, and its a easy job.... Im basically homer simpson. go out and turn a few valves here and there.... go back into the control room and throw on some movies, and browse team liquid. 35 bucks an hour to start, aint to shabby. double time after 35 hours.... cant complain for my first real job out of school.

Some people don't care about the money, notice how the daily has no ads? Obviously he is making some money off of Starcraft, you'd have to be silly to think otherwise, but he doesn't cram it down your throat. Sean's been big for a while, and with the rise of his daily and sc2, he's exploded. So you make 75k/year canadian dollars... As you said... it's not exciting.
My job on the other hand is less pay than that, but is a hell of a lot more exciting. You're happy with your "boring job" and I'm happy with my exciting one, sure it pays less than yours- But I am happy. I am happy to wake up everyday to know that I've got a job with a company I like, coworkers who are colorful and interesting, then I get to go home, work out for a short bit, do dinner then watch day9(replace day9 with downtown/drinks/fun on friday/saturday)? Every now and then replace all this with traveling for work to see orlando, nyc, san fran, seattle, chicago and other major spots in the states all because of work? The only reason I'm not jumping up and down is because I just got back from a trip and I'm physically exhausted. Day9 helped me mesh all this together and to be happy with starcraft.
Sean's passionate about Starcraft, it's been in his life and family for almost 13 years now. He does it so everyone gets to experience starcraft and enjoy it. So that someone may have it impact their life as it did his.
I feel like I'm wasting my time typing it, but may you should watch/listen to his daily #100?

i need a good job,,,, i have 2 children,, a mortgage,,, and i want my children to have a better life than i did.... so if that means me busting my ass,, nothing makes me happier than seeing my family happy... its the most rewarding thing in the world,,, im not selfish,, its not about me me me, i relized that after i had children,, its about them.....

everyone has what they were good at... his life was starcraft, when i was youngin,, before kids,,, my life was bodybuilding, brazilian jiu jitsu, wrestling and boxing.
I won lots of tournments,,,, but i knew i could never make a life off of it, so i had to get a job,,, then I started having tons and tons of unprotected sex.. and popped out some babies,,,, then here we are today lol

I was in a decent mood and gave him the benefit of doubt. Beside I don't see the point of trolling if all you get are fairly reasonable responses. You could do the same by just posting like a normal person.

Although Day9 checked an option that enables him to edge scroll in windowed mode he is so used to do the middle mouse button scroll during the dailies that he kept using it anyways. ^^

Yeah there were quite a few holes in that brainstorming session. What about force field? Nearly every map in the current map pool has a 1 FF blockable ramp. Wouldn't either A: Cutting his army in half or B. never allowing them up the ramp make a huge difference?
I guess once they get on the high ground they can begin to warp in, but at that point you immortals should be in range of the pylon. I dunno. The 4 gate problem really needs to be solved but I don't think this daily totally figured it out yet.

Im a chemical process engineer, yeah prolly not the most exciting job ever,,, but it has benefits, sick pension plan, and as a junior operator my first year out of school im making 75K,,, thats not including bonus and Overtime... or shutdowns,,,, etc...

Sure, esports isn't something that is very big or can support a career now, but that doesn't mean that it can't possibly be that way ever. Day 9 is actively working to support and expand his love and his dream into something that may one day be a fulfilling career not only for himself but possibly for many others. That is something that is much more impressive than any amount of money (and don't be mistaken here: Day9 has enough opportunities to be making much more money than you as well). Nothing big will ever get done if you just say "get a normal job, think about your future".

Would be impressive if someone solved 4 gate in 1 evening that others have been struggling over half a year with. The point of the video is that thats how you should go about solving these riddles, not everyone has the experience Day9 has in these things and should find that daily eye opener.
Heck, he could actually be onto something.

Would love to see a newbie tuesday on how to deal with Terran tank contains!
I'm a gold level Zerg player and pretty much every Terran I fight will start off with hellion harass, which never really kills a lot of drones but really thins out the number of speedlings I have. It temporarily loses me my mapcontrol, then they just set up shop outside my natural with 3-5 siege tanks and dart back and forth with marines to bait.
I don't know how often Terran use this strategy in other matchups as I only play Zerg, but it feels so hard to deal with.
I tune into the show every day and absolutely love it, keep up the amazing work <3!
