Anyone else watch the daily on an iOS device? (iPhone, iPad, whatever).
You can get it on youtube obviously, but I noticed blip.tv's RSS feed has m4v videos. What's weird is only a handful of dailies have the m4v available: http://day9tv.blip.tv/rss
If you scroll down a bit the last one with an m4v is 190. Wonder if that's something day9 can change when he uploads to blip?

I won a double funday monday challenge by going raven only in a 4 way tvt (and another one with viking only, but forgot to announce it), unfortunately the replay always crashes at about 20 minutes =((

I <3 Day9.
One request though; would be great if these were uploaded to youtube a little bit faster. I dont know how feasible it is, but Blip.tv almost never works correctly for me and runs much slower (I have a terrible connection).

I won too, but its not a very exciting game because everyone in ffa's are so bad so I'm not going to submit it. Carriers do smash voids I have found out. Fun fact: I don't lose a unit the entire game.

Donated for third time 5$ to him , best caster ever (HD + Husky sux big time)

Love day9, but why all the hate towards HD and husky. They are far more accessible to low level players or people who are purely spectators.

There is a reason why the majority of commentators for professional sports, like baseball and football, are former players/coaches. There are occasionally people who are solely color commentators, but they're almost always in the 2nd seat when it comes who who's leading the conversation.
When I listen to Day9 vs. HD or Husky, it shows.
That's the best way I can explain it.

That's the other way around you know... The commentators are filling in all the description, meaning they talk alot, whereas the accasional pro athlete fills in his analazis..
Your argument warrents outspoken hatred towards the other group? Are you retarded? Or just some kind of extremist?
Go Day[9] - Can't wait for the #200, hope it's just half as epic as #100

Not sure if serious.
I'm not talking about television shows, like on ESPN when they have a host with a panel of former players. I'm talking about broadcasters, doing the play-by-play of the actual game, like John Madden.
It's possible to fill in description with have insight for analysis at the same time.
Maybe it's different in Denmark.
(edit: Many times both people in the booth will be former players/coaches.)

yes, in all the world live sport narrators are there to just shout and say what's obvious, you have to realize it was born from broadcasting games on radio, it's only a recent thing where they bring on one specialized guy to sporadically say something of supposed insight.

Watching day9 at night before bed is no longer safe....those paranormal activity 2 ads before the episodes on bliptv are fucking scary @ 3am...

First of all Day9 doesn't want hate on his show. Huk said it, don't blame Day9. Secondly I don't agree they are casters for low level players as they don't have much experience with game and that leads to giving players wrong information about game. And that's what pisses me off. Example: BigT calling Idra 1a player. Like seriuosly? That is retarded and insulting and it makes low level players think the way Idra plays is wrong, when in reality Idra's play is the way everyone should play (strong solid strategy).
I think knowing game deep inside out is very important to commentators. I'm glad someone has talent to blab nonsense in their cast, but when it comes to professional lan events all they can say is "Umm.." "wow" "yeah" (Gunrun @ IEM)
And the post above me saying day9 can't fill between games? Are you retarded? Did you watch raleigh? When HDH came in they choked as apposed to jp and day9. Or even IEM New york: because day9 has knowledge of the game he can quickly go over the replay to point out how Fenix managed to come on top.
Sorry I didn't meant to flame anyone... just saying my view on this issue

Just give them time. Day[9] has lots of experience whereas Husky and HD have only been casting for a lot less. You should watch them with the reasoning that they might be as competent or even better after 10 years!

There should be a 3v3 where the zerg can't build queens, the protoss has to build a carrier before expo, and terran can't build MMT. ;0

day[9] got to meet his fangirls \o/

So... Day9 lied when he said,"only men"...
(He's been holding out.)
|
Huk didn't disrespect HD or Husky at all, he actually said he loves them. He said that Day9 is the only commentator that he would take advice from between games. This isn't insulting to anyone.
|
way to prove that husky funs are close minded and ignorant

Hd and husky are great for newer viewers because they have that excitement over the battles that will grab the attention of people wether they know what is actually going on or not. Thats great to attract new people into esports, but people who play (which makes up the vast majority of viewers now) aren't watching for the explosions and pretty colors (at least not entirely). They watch for the strategy and skill, and that understanding is what seperates day9. So of course players are going to prefer day9, but hd and husky are great casters too and could do alot of good for the community, so I think they deserve some respect too. That being said I would always prefer watching day9 over anybody else.
