he probably just likes the icon.
It should also be noted that he still has the marine instead of a battlecruiser even after 7000 posts.

I think it got corrupted or something. It definitely was delayed a few hours but I'm curious if he has the recording or not because I also live in germany and can't watch it live :/
With that being said: + Show Spoiler +

He said it was in like 15 parts and he would have to piece it all back together again.

Day, while i love all you have done for TL, and the esports community in general i just feel the dailies is now more about you then actually learning stuff.
Its like, lately you talk so very much, and very abstract about feelings, and what not. Before it was more about being right on, and actually spending 60 min watching you learning new stuff, now its more about steaks, cofee, and tasteless shirt.
Also lately the camera is almost more on you then on the actually game. Its kinda difficult to focus, while its nothing wrong to like to talk much and hear its voice, i just feel the whole point of the daily is diminishing.
Maybe someone will rage at me saying the day9 dailies have always been about being fun and cool and all that. But then you shouldn't advertise the whole segment about learning how to be a better player.
Again, i love the work you do for the community in general, but i just cant watch you anymore.

^ What you are saying is complete bullshit. Think about it just for a while. I feel that the stuff that he is doing atm is even more educational than what he did before.
|
I really don't know what you are referring to. The last daylies were extremely focused and spot on.
|
You can't really complain about it, this guy provides a free service so he can do whatever he wants. Even with saying that, it so totally is still educational. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I love you day!

lol henrikyo, what the fuck have you been smoking. In each and every one of his dailies, he has a lesson to teach, and he teaches it in a clear concise manner while still making the audience laugh. His ratio of educational to funny hasnt changed since he was doing BW.

Completely agreed with TheAntZ's post.

I think Day9 is great, but I see where henrikyo is getting at. Sometimes DAy9's style is too animated & exaggerated, a bit smug and perhaps too happy he's on camera.
Then again, he does have good jokes like the one in Raleigh about the build order for girls, LOL
|
If all you want is 60 minutes straight of boring strategy talk with no personality or jokes or anything...just, fuck man, get a life nerd. I'm sorry but some people take starcraft just a little TOO seriously.
|
Day9's personality comes out in his video because he loves Starcraft. Starcraft is intimately tied with his development as a human being (as Day9 daily #100 will show you.) He wants Starcraft to grow as much as possible. Talking purely about Starcraft for 60 minutes will be greatly appreciated by everyone who already loves Starcraft, and wants to improve their gameplay. However, to widen the audience, both his and Starcraft's, he needs to do more than drone on about the video game. You can see the joy in his face when he switches screens to talk to his audience about Starcraft. Ultimately, his attitude is infectious; because he loves the game, you want to love it too.

With the past few dailies I learned how to make my own builds. I would never have even considered doing this before watching those. I even have two that are semi functional. the "lack of education" is him going over different subject matter. He always talks about steaks coffee and tasteless shirts.

You have the right to express your opinion, but I must say I disagree. I like his style.
