France Portugal was boring, but both teams are very strong defensively. I hope we get an early goal from Spain-France, or else I think France might succeed in turning that into a snoozefest as well. Gotta say that while Ronaldo's tournament was very disappointing and he's finally showing his age, Pepe playing like this at 41 is impressive as hell. A couple occasions where he's been exposed on speed but he's also played with incredible smartness. Never pictured myself saying anything positive about him, tbh, but to me he's been Portugal's best player. And even for a defender, that's practically unheard of at 41. I guess Maldini retired at 41, too, dunno to what degree he saw a dip in form at the end. | ||
