He's an absolutely dreadful VAR. The PGMOL has been assessing performance of VAR and I know Forest got an apology (or at least an acknowledgement of mistakes) for Mason's performance after the Brentford game earlier this season. | ||

For every suspension, the head of the player safety released a video explaining the key points to their decision. (Warning: A pretty rough hockey tackle on the video) + Show Spoiler + (Another rough tackle, this time a long suspension being enacted) + Show Spoiler + These are obviously the decisions they made after the game with the ability to consider all angles possible for hours and roll slow mo replays from every camera on the arena if necessary. I don't expect refs to pull off similar stuff right away after the game on every controversial call they make, but I still feel this is quite a nice approach whenever some bits of it can be implemented. | ||
