MU wont release him with nothing in return and no decent club will pick him up. He now gets punished and they even save wages. His brand will also lose a ton more after this stunt. Also his advisors are either fuming or sleeping...nobody is above the club. Starting to question if even Sporting picks him up now. Just hope our NT coach has the guts to stick him on the bench in WC and leave him there. | ||

Just hope our NT coach has the guts to stick him on the bench in WC and leave him there. actually i think the timing of this interview has been perfectly planned from ronaldos perspective. it came after the last game before the world cup, presumably to not distract the team and hurt morale. then after the world cup theres only a couple of weeks before the transfer window opens, and this interview will have sat in everyones minds enough to know that ronaldo is now available to get the move he wants. hes forcing the club to sell/release him because contrary to what he says, the club did in fact not want to sell him last window. the club will probably agree to listen to cheaper offers now just to get ronaldo out. This summer portuguese media was filled with pretty much every respectable club saying no to Ronaldo. And in the summer he still had the "scores a lot of goals" label. Does he still have it now? Lower bids acceptable by utd yes, leave on a free doubt it and even then, where would he go? | ||

It’s not premature to count him out, depending on what his goals are. If his goal is to be a clutch deciding player for an elite CL level team, I mean that seems beyond his grasp. If he can handle being a hero for a team with slightly lower ambitions, absolutely I can see him doing something. On the evidence of this latest interview, his ego will absolutely not countenance that. | ||
