Well he did. And then decided Liverpool isn't good enough for him lol. Worst move from a player in a long time
|
Seeing how much Liverpool has won after he left, it was truly the worst move from a player in history lol

The CL and PL are very impressive, but all in all he has missed on "only" 3 trophies/title. Being on loan to Bayern and bench is not that impressive, but if Bayern win he'll have more or less the same trophies (third one for Liverpool is the clubs world cup thingy).

I don't think you can compare it that way. He may have the same titles to his name afterwards, true, but in Liverpool he was the playmaker and the game revolved around him. In Bayern he is just an expensive sub.
Also: lol who is this Neymar guy? Gnabry is da new man! That goal was Messi in his prime kinda good

4D chess played by Barca, at this rate they won't have to pay bonuses etc. to anybody anytime soon.
|
How is it 4D chess? It just depends on the specific wording of the contract. If it is entirely related to Coutinho winning the CL as a player, regardless of the squad he is playing for, then Barça has to pay. Barça lawyers presumably dispute that and say that hidden in all the legalese is that this clause only triggers if he wins the CL with Barça, and not if he happens to be rented out during that time. The latter clause makes more sense, but it being the first one due to oversight (this current situation is not very common), wouldn't surprise me. If Bayern wins, and Liverpool and Barça's lawyers can't agree, it'll just go to court and some judge will have to sort out which reading of the contract is correct. It's just lawyerly busy work, not 4D chess.

Didn't Real Madrid try something like that last year in order to avoid one of their players that was on loan from playing against them?
|
I vaguely remember Madrid loaning a player to a team and then lose in the CL that season, obviously the loaned player was a key reason of their loss.

I don't know if he was loaned, but Morientes was not wanted at the club anymore and kicked them out with Monaco the following season.

The thing is Liverpool probably wouldn't have been able to fund Allison/VVD without Coutinho money
|
Lmao I get Alphonso Davis for trying to get a shirt from his idol or something but no surprise, the Barca players would have headed straight to the tunnel

Good point. Didn't think of that. I mean we all know that it worked out great for LFC, but I still think Coutinho shot himself in the foot. Twice
|
there were quite some fans who cried after coutinho after LFC's loss against Real in the CL final
|
Those fans were mostly stalkers, they found out about Coutinho's Kane-like past of being a great goalkeeper.
|
So now it is being said that Messi is unclear about his staying at Barca but understands his contract obligations...

Godamnit, Inter have made two European finals in my conscious time following them and the sport and I’ve been working on both!
Hopefully can avoid spoilers in the interim, made a lot easier that we’re playing Sevilla and not United at least.

"Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte says he "sees the glass as half full" after their Champions League group-stage elimination resulted in them reaching Friday's Europa League final."
Always bitter about this scenario.
