Theatrics, ref crowding, fouls. I hate watching football like this You're not wrong in principle, but this is an amazing final.

The final was incredible to watch as a neutral, it had everything.
Diego Carlos bycicle kick goal after being to blame for both Inter goals, with the help of Lukaku.
A bit sad for Lukaku, he was so good all the Europa League. But I'm happy for Lopetegui after all the Spain NT controversy.

Godamnit.
Silver lining I’m happy for Lopetegui, no idea why Spain sacked him instead of just let him coach the team and let him go to Madrid after the tournament. Didn’t exactly go well for Spain. Then Madrid didn’t exactly go well either so good to see he’s got this title to help rebuild the battering his reputation took

Couple weeks ago someone was like "you can really expect only 6-7 teams to win the CL". Guess how many you can expect to win the Europa?
Do you have this joke in English: "X is very simple, you play for xx minutes, and the end x is winning"

Do you have this joke in English: "X is very simple, you play for xx minutes, and the end x is winning" It is a Gary Lineker quote, so not only does it exist in English, but it originated there.

Why is this sudden love for totopegui? (famous joke around here due to him being really bad when he coached Porto -» toto = dork).
He did a disgrace of a job everywhere he went with the exception of the Spain youth team.
His career didnt start with Spain's NT you know xD nor was his dismissal strange. come on, in an already polarizing NT of Barcelona vs Madrid players, the coach supposed to unify their egos signs for one of the parties? Yup, that must have left a good locker room for that team.
Besides, its not like Spain was being brilliant up to the tournament either so...

Not saying he’s the world’s greatest coach just on a human level to lose the chance to coach at a World Cup and then get sacked from the job you lost that chance for, pretty rough. Unless you’re a total dick in which case it’s hilarious.

Spain with Lopetegui was playing a lot better than in the previous 4 years with Del Bosque. Lopetegui's Spain was the most decent one since we won the Eurocup.

Yeah I understand that...but being totopegui pretty much justifies what he got xD

In my humble opinion, decent is the key there. Spain has/had a lot of talented players, the NT level should be much higher than decent, with a proper coach.

Decent seems to be more than sufficient for the international game these days.

The thing is that neither the previous 4 years with Del Bosque or the next 2 years with Luis Enrique / Moreno were at least decent. Lopetegui did a good job and we probably would have done better with him in the World Cup.
And Spanish NT doesn't have so much talent as it used to have. Our main forward is Morata (lol), our only decent central defender is Ramos and he is old. Busquets and Jordi Alva are in decline. Both De Gea and Kepa suck nowadays and the new young players are not spectacular.

good excuse to strip him of his captaincy. giving him the captaincy was a joke to begin with. seems like fernandes would be the natural successor
