Yeah I’m gonna have to be active on the waiver wire, that’s for sure lol
The key is almost always to figure out which random backup rb or unheralded TE becomes a td machine
Scared as heck that Hyde will become the lead back role in Houston. I got content with Duke Johnson so I traded away James White and DJ Moore for K Allen.

I think the Cowboys wanted to pay Zeke before Dak so they could offer Dak less but with Goff getting paid isgoing to make dak's price go up unless the Cowboys sign Copper first. What a mess!
Goff is neither the first nor the last QB to get paid and set the market, the cowboys paying Zeke at the time that they did has little to do with their plans for paying or not paying Dak

Yep, gonna try to watch as many games as possible in the early season to try and figure out who this year's unknown td machine is.

1 Pats don't make it to the AFC Championship game 2. Samuels ends with more yards than Conners 3. Panthers saints and Falcons all make the playoffs 4. Eagles miss as Wentz gets hurt again. 5. Bears miss. 6. Dolphins are so horrible that their is tons of talk about anti tanking rules. 7. Clowney gets 14+ sacks after never getting double digits before 8. Most TD passes goes to Ryan not Mahomes 9. Lamar Jackson beats Vicks rushing yards by a QB record 10. Cowboys win the super bowl.
9 and 10 are bonkers predictions.
I have a few I’d like to throw out as well: 1.) With Andrew Luck’s retirement, the Jaguars will win the AFC South, narrowly edging out the Texans via tiebreaker with a 9-7 record. 2.) Antonio Brown will not make it through the whole season without missing a game due to personal/disciplinary reasons. 3.) Packers, Steelers and Falcons all miss the playoffs.
Mike Mayock is done with ABs shit. He seems to be the only person in the Raiders organization bold enough to stand up to him. He’s going to come out of this looking good.
As for AB, he needs to either get his shit together and be a team player or he’s going to be in for a rough time. At this point, if a suspension goes through and AB has further retaliations, I could see the raiders trying to release him and void the contract, which would probably be easy given that AB has been poisonous.
That's what I was thinking. He may be retiring this season and doesn't know it yet. Unless he goes the route Dwight Howard is and doing whatever it takes after the fact to be on a team. Randy Gregory might be the same for Dallas if he doesn't shape up this season (suspended).
farva, question: Do you think the NFL is a small indication of where the country as a whole is at in regards to the drug issues it seems to be facing? You have Gronk partnering with a CBD business now that he's out and others as well continue to find trouble taking medications that help them recover and get back to top speed. Like an...insular bubble community?
Just realized 3 players on my FF team might not play because of the fucking hurricane. Fucking fuck all!
Haha, that’s a good question, but I think it makes sense to split it into the two major drugs-in-the-NFL arenas, marijuana and performance enchanting substances. Regarding the former, the NFL is going to have to give up on its hardline stance sooner or later, and I expect folks like Megatron and Gronk are going to use their fame and interest in marijuana to push the issue. The fact of the matter is that weed is a great palliative treatment for many of the long-term side effects of playing elite football.
The latter is a much tougher call because masking tech is basically always two steps ahead of detection tech. Add in the fact that the NFL derives some measure of its success from the fact that its athletes are some of the biggest and baddest in the world and I just don’t see how they can keep up the facade that is its current PED testing regime.

Now, should Gronk come back and the NFL hasn't changed their stance, is that trouble for him? I can't recall the name of the recent player who had this happen to him, but he was suspended what...2 or 3 games because of it? I agree that the NFL is going to have to either start banning players or have some strict guidelines in place for it (offseason use only, nothing during the season).
PED use is a harder one just because some of the stuff is linked to rehabilitation and that isn't something players can generally ignore. Steroidal use is going to happen and I don't know if there is anything that can be a viable substitute for it yet.
