Shame Landry had a “mediocre” season, guy has huge talent. I thought since leaving the ‘Phins he would unleash.

Also I enjoy these dodgeball and course events more than the pro bowl game itself lol.

Lots of talk on the radio today (road trip baby!) about Brady going somewhere new. In what world is this feasible? He's notoriously rigid. New WRs come in and get dogged on for not learning the playbook, which apparently has been accumulating complexity for the 20 seasons Brady has been there, and he won't agree to any simplification.

I'm to believe this person is going to go to a new location, new head coach, new oc, and new wide receivers? In what fantasy is that not a disaster?

I think you guys saying Eli will eventually be in the HOF, but not first ballot, are reading the tea leaves incorrectly. First ballot is his best chance of being in the HOF. He is part of a QB wave with amazing longevity. Of that group, only his brother Peyton is retired. Peyton will surely be a first ballot HOF who will get in before Eli is eligible.

Eli's best chance is to get in before Brady, Brees, Rodgers and Rothlisberger retire. Even Rivers is a maybe. He has more Super Bowl wins than Rodgers and Rivers but they have better numbers and are more responsible for their teams' victories. If he doesn't get in before they retire, he's likely going to have to wait for a down year after they get in. There are also some non-qb old farts like Witten, Vinatieri, Suggs, Fitzgerald and Peterson who haven't retired yet. If they all play at least one more season, it makes it easier for Eli to get in on his first season while providing more competition afterwards.

it's been known for quite some time that bb has wanted to move on from brady (kraft intervening in the garropolo trade demonstrating the schism between gm and ownership). also in the past, brady has always sealed up his new contracts way in advance of free agency.

also - vegas and la, who wouldn't want to live there?

this whole thing is beautiful but the sequence with Juice from 8:09 on is great

Eli is 100% getting in. He had plenty of very good years, 2 SB wins, and as someone else said the victory vs the Pats was Namath levels of legendary. He will not be a first ballot esp since his era already has Brees, Brady, Ben, and Rodgers who are all going to make it ahead of him 100%

I don't think the chargers are as bad as they were, but I also don't think they dropped from 12 to 5 wins just because of Rivers, as much as he did not play well. If Brady were to go somewhere, which I still think is a big if, I think he would be aiming more for a .500 team that's a good QB away from being a real contender.

I think that's only the Bears right now? Steelers would be if Ben weren't coming back. Denver could but but I think they probably roll with Lock. The Bucs would be the other wildcard

Performance in close games is not normally sustainable. There is usually regression towards the mean. The Chargers swung from one extreme to another because they are the Chargers. That said, last year's choketastic performance is more the norm for them than the previous year's clutch team.
