Also i think good athletes can easily last a good bit more, like 2-3 years compared to 20-30+ years ago, times are changing, and so is medicine/science.

Would go afk in games to much and was a luxury player who performed 1 in 10 for them at best. Was out shone and worked by Redmond so they cashed in on a 29 year old very well. Guy is 30 now and will only get worst. Obviously players perform differently at different clubs, but Tadic has been an absolute key component of this season's Ajax, so I'd say well worth the 10m quid they paid for him. Hell, he's probably earned that back already just in CL winnings.

Especially if I remember was it Koemans first year 3-4 years ago? When Southampton did so well one season and then got butchered by Liverpool taking all their players and turning them to shit ? Tadic sorta faded similar to Southampton the next few years. I think his upside was always very clear when he did have crazy impact games. This isnt the first time hes won games by himself pretty much, although it was the first time he did it against such high level opposition (if you can call this Madrid team that).

They did same to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, with all 3 going to CAS and saying WTF, for CAS to tell FIFA to pipe down and allow the next transfer window clear whilst appeal process is happening. Chelsea club statement using strong words; As a matter of procedural fairness and equality of treatment, and Swiss law, the Club’s right to an appeal process must be afforded, before any irremediable sanction takes effect. What are you doing FIFA lol

Was expecting better than i saw xD In reality I cannot name a single starting player for national team Ukraine from Dynamo at the moment. They are used for substitution - yes, but not for the starting 11. It is usually filled with FC Shakhtar defence lane + midfield/attacking players from foreigner leagues (Zinchenko, Yarmolenko, Malinovskiy, Konoplyanka etc).

Ahh ok then was just a stat used during commentary saying they had like 6 Ukranian national team players in the first 11 or something like that. Didn't realize they were just squad players xD

It's not about what is the likely outcome or whether Chelsea deserves it or not. Take all these emotions and opinions aside and just consider the process. The fact is there exist an appeal avenue or CAS for clubs. This means that there is a possibility (no matter how small) that the club will be free from all charges. In the event that the club serves the ban but is acquitted, then there is no way to compensate this loss of time. That is why by all logic and reasoning, not freezing the ban is the wrong thing to do. You're potentially punishing an innocent party. For example, sakho missed the Europa League finals and euros 2016 because he erroneously flagged for a failed drug test. How do you compensate that? Now clubs are obviously abusing the process but that doesn't mean the ban should not be frozen. The problem is the process itself. It can be rectified by possibly increasing the transfer ban during the appeal stage if clubs are found guilty of 'abusing' the appeal. For example, you can appeal a red card but the FA can increase the punishments after the appeal.

But when your teammates are not at your level, these kind of players are just luxury and hence appear bad. That is a good argument to make to an extent, but Shaq has not done anything for Liverpool in a few games, been on the bench and not even used in games that were 0-0s for example. He has "lost his buzz" for them it may seem too. Same way with Tadic, the argument of him playing in a bad team made him look worst, doesn't hide the fact that he was missing for several games in a row. Klopp actually addressed these questions about Shaq and Keita in his presser yesterday, here are the quotes; “It is about our situation in training and what’s needed individually for the next opponent. That is all that we think about,” said Klopp of the opportunities for Keita and Shaqiri. “We don’t stick to one formation or the other, but the boys need to offer. Sometimes it is more possible and sometimes it is not possible for different reasons. “Sometimes we don’t have the sessions. Then it’s more difficult to offer something. It’s all part of the decision-making.” “It’s just that we have to think about a lot of things before a game. We played quite a few teams with really good set-pieces, stuff like that. We needed to make sure that we had the right line-up and set-up for that.
