Right now, Tyus Jones is playing better, more active, higher effort defense than Teague. This gives Thibs a tough choice to make.

Plus, no one takes S.A.S. seriously.. he is more of an entertainer than an analyst. Offensive Points Added//Defensive Points Saved for Cleveland after 5 games. Upward is "Points Saved" to the Right is "Points Added ![]()

Only readon this is talked about is because he talked shit before the game. If he hadnt we may be ralking about how he smothered ball and his 2-11 . which unlike walls bad shooting had a lot to do with the d of wall. Wall just missed shots, which sucks but is gonna happen some nights. Hopefully he just learned not to yap pregame 😂 The thing about Wall is that he is obviously a good player. But there is an air of arrogance about him that makes it difficult to root for him.

It is going to take a while for all the teams that made major changes to figure things out and this is another advantage for the spurs since they always rock their system and keep so many pieces the same. Minny, Bos, Hou, Cavs, Clippers all added pieces and are now dealing with major pieces missing. But the 82 game season is long it will be interesting to see how much different it is at year end! (spoiler alert spurs will still be a threat xD) Spurs narrative for the last couple of decades People: Nah, they're old End up with 55+ win season People: They're boring as hell Wins championship People: Team is a band of misfits Another 55+ season People: What Spurs? Other teams have superstar this, superstar that! Another championship People: He is a system player. Player wins Finals MVP along with championship To be this consistently competitive for a couple of decades in a league that is designed to be anti-parity and do it quietly is really the best thing about the Spurs!

That Arenas/Jamison team used to trash talk Lebron constantly before losing. They blew up the entire team, rebuilt, and got more yappers. They keep talking about being best in the east without anything to show for it. If they were in the west, they'd be fighting for an 8th seed. And Wall is an annoying yapper. He can be like Draymond and commit to it, but he won't and think he is Jordan and Jesus combined and that gives his yapping some substance.

"you don't need great defensive talent to be a great defensive team. Thibs implements a great system .you follow the system.", Paul Pierce. Wiggins and Townes have been taking a beating in the national media for a while now. The best defense metrics identified the very weak defense of both players from the start of their respective careers. I don't think I've seen him score without getting to the rim. That's not going to fly in the playoffs if he's the best player on the team. ya , good point. until Giannis gets a jumpshot teams will just stick 5 guys in the key like the Raptors did in games 4 through 6 of last year's playoffs.

And he really needs to improve his APM so he becomes more valuable to his team in the playoffs

I think he does need some shooting weapon, but it doesn't need to be from 3. With Giannis' speed and size, about any shot he can get off and make consistently will be good for him, like a midrange pull-up or some turnaround jumper from the post. I'd like to see him with some kind of Kobe-like footwork ![]()
