Hard to see how that approach is going to work though. Leonard would have to admit he could have been playing all this time, which if he was faking/exaggerating his injuries it seems unlikely he would admit it or the circumstances that would lead him to do that would have changed. Alternatively he really does feel he isn't healthy enough to play and having team mates tell him that they think he is faking or not toughing out something he should be able to play thru can only make things worse and probably drive him to want to leave the Spurs, assuming that wasn't already his desire. | ||

ASSUMING Leonard is in ZERO PAIN in that quad tendon after playing hard for a full practice game.... Leonard's way out of this is to say "healing takes time; it took several months to heal and it has finally healed." but if that tendon is still giving him pain he risks an even longer recovery if he plays on it. you can have "no structural damage" and still have an inflexible scarred up tendon. There is no test that can be done to prove whether or not Leonard is bullshitting. he probably played with that injury in the past and this has caused lots of scar tissue to build up. | ||
