#WENGER IN?!?!?!
Very smart decision, he knows he didn't do anything particularly magical with the team and they sort of big gamed and (if we talk about the Juve, Bayern way) to a CL title this year. And it was just star power carrying it.
The team doesn't play with any identity as such and there isnt any style that you can say that he imposed on the team
I have never been a huge fan of him as a coach but he copped alot of criticism for not doing things that he really wasnt ever even capable of doing (at this stage in his career anyway) or brought in to do
He maintains a legacy and bows out before the well really runs dry. Talk of players leaving too, Very good decision indeed.

In all honesty, I don't know why Europe doesn't have the policy of "residency through investment". If you invest over 500k USD in Brazil (I think there's some catches, like it can't be in residential real estate or so), or found a company in Brazil, that employs at least 5 Brazilian nationals, you are given a temporary residency permit. It seems quite reasonable and a good way to attract foreign capital.

This is UK government using its "power" after the Putin attack on UK soil in that spy scandal. I have no idea how this is supposed to "scare" Putin or to do anything other than spite themselves (UK Government) with what they are doing.
Roman was about to pull the trigger on a £1billion stadium investment in the UK, making jobs and helping the building industry. Instead he has put that on hold and moved to Israel....

I don't know the first thing about Abramovich. If he is some shady Russian mobster, I can imagine the UK doesn't want to give him a visa, regardless of how much money he wants to invest (launder) there. But I was under the impression that while he is no doubt a rich Russian oligarch, he runs a legitimate business, and on the political front, just kept out of it and did his thing without bothering, or being bothered by Putin. But again, I know next to nothing about the man except that he bought Chelsea as his own personal plaything.

Putin and Roman are bffs which is the reason i think he being scrutinized now. Roman was the one who told Yeltsin to make Putin the next President of Russia after Yeltsin and Roman were close friends during a business takeover which was EXTREMELY hostile which involved many people dying and at the end of it netted Roman like $6billion. He then was bff with Putin and practically hired all of Putin's staff for his presidency being the guy who interviewed all his future staff to help run the country.
So yeah, that is not going well for Mr Abramovich right now, but i cannot see why having Roman in this country on a working Visa or not stops Putin from ordering someone's killing on UK soil, it is beyond me. Especially when said guy is about to throw £1billion into the economy, but hey, what do i know right im just a football fan wanting my club to not die because of Government involvement xD

Not saying you shouldn't support anyone, i am saying they shouldn't be called/considered a world class successful team, they are not. They are just a good team, but it isn't successful it is just a good team. So elbowing goalkeeper's face like in ufc (cos you know you play for dirty club) your way to the cup is success...

It's just some bullshit retaliation, goverments are known for making decisions that are unwise from peoples perspective.

Well, fuck. I guess Zidane prefers to always leave while he is at the top. Maybe the time for the rebuild has finally come. The most unfortunate thing is that I can't see anyone free that can replace Zidane.

Luis Enrique? lolol
Somewhere on twitter: "Zidane is only leaving Real Madrid cause he knows VAR will be introduced next year and his team can’t win without referees. Smart decision by him. Leave before being exposed."
It's funny because it's true. xD

That would be hilarious. He is probably the most anti-madridista coach that has managed Barcelona in a long time. Only Pep Guardiola managing Spain NT would be more hilarious.

But yeah... Russia seems to be going towards a direction where being friends with Putin is bad for your foreign business. It's hard to see the situation improving much in the nearby future unless there's some bigger shift of power in Russia. And if something big happens, I doubt Abramovich's priorities are in financing Chelsea.
Unless he can somehow sidestep the Russian stuff through Israeli citizenship for example, it could be some bigger reform coming up for Chelsea.

Real bosses seem pretty shocked that Zizou resigned though. I dont think he was forced. He was just smart enough to know when to stop. Just like he knew when to stop as a player

Zidane heel turn, linked to Qatar job D:

I wonder what Sharkie will think if Zidane goes and starts managing Qatar for big bucks, given his rather overwhelming support for Qatar to host the world cup back when..

He left Real Madrid with a very bad relationship with the club and he is hated by most Real Madrid fans. He has mocked Real Madrid a lot of times and he celebrated all his goals against them when he a player with a lot of rage.
Luis Enrique as Real Madrid coach is like Luis Figo as Barcelona coach xDD
