You mean that superstar that didnt actually play most of the final ? Nothing about Portugals win had the markings of a superstar team. A superstar player "at times" sure . The striker who scored in the final has 2-3 goals in what 30 something games ? Superstars indeed. Argentina for example has had both the "superstar player + superstar team" in spades and never won anything over the last 5-6 years. | ||

France won silver on home turf to a notably inferior team after being constantly hyped due to all of the "Superstars" that they have. Also, Ronaldo didn't play the vast majority of the final.
