I agree Max should have won but Dana's comments after the fight were shit, frankly.

UFC's line has always been 'don't leave it to the judges, especially if you're a title challenger'.

Unless you are friends with Dana White and everyone likes you.

I don't mind Volkanovski winning that much, there is no difference between clearly winning a round and winning one by a small margin. I thought Holloway did enough in round 3 to get a win himself though. As long as MMA is going to use the same scoring system as in boxing, results like this are going to happen.

On the bright side, I really didn't want a third match (nor a second one that soon but that's another issue), you have enough contenders with Korean Zombie/Ortega/Magomedsharipov/Rodriguez. And Holloway can get his next opportunity through one of those opponents anyway.

Overall a good card, but compared to the cards in Apex it was a bit less entertaining. So many low blows in the earlier cards though.

I enjoyed the first women fight, Rosa vs Melo, Amirkhani had a solid - albeit short - performance. And Grant vs Day was entertaining, as was the last fight of prelims as you said, but the rest wasn't amazing.

I don't want to put everything on the octagon's size... But so far the smaller one sure delivered.

i get that he was injured but at least give the guy a bit of time to go back to his corner, a stoppage should be based on what's happening in front of you. maybe he recoups during that time, if not his corner can throw in the towel...

Nice fight, really enjoyed it. The lack of answer to the clinch surprised me.

Too bad for Cormier, feel for him, what heart to fight through than eye poke. Stipe's techniques seem basic, but he's very calculated and smart. He will always seem like a bit of an underdog to me, that cardio versus the flashy stuff and more explosive one punch knock out power of the other guys.
