the contrast between how bad hank is at puck play vs how good he is at everything in life never ceases to amaze me. that save of the year candidate he has a week or two ago was the exact same thing: goalie adventure for puck, fucks up, makes bonkers recovery save to bail himself out

Price is just the best player, all position combine, in the worlds. We had a badgame vs toronto yesterday, they shot 52 time. Price stop 49. Hell yeah

I still majorly doubt the long term success due to roster contruction and therrien being therrien. I would argue that the main reason for success (other than Price, obvs) is that guys like Galchenyuk and Gallagher seem to have taken the next step. That is huge, esp since the Habs don't have much in the way of genuinely good offensive players besides Pax.

![]() edit: I know many of you guys follow Eastern Conference teams, so I'm not sure if you are fully aware of the bullshit that is the LA Kings. Basically, every time your team faces LA, you can be ready for some incredibly frustrating shit involving the following:
The Kings are a shit team that rely, moreso than other teams, on the refs' ability to impact the game through bad calls or non-calls. It's incredibly frustrating for anyone who isn't a Kings fan. For example, let's look at last night's game and the sequence of events that determined the outcome: 1) Ref misses a nasty interference call involving crosscheck to the numbers of a player pursuing the puck. In his defense, his view was obscured by a guy getting interfered with 5 feet away from him: ![]() 2) Ref does the obvious thing and gives a horrible make up call against the other team because Kings. Seriously, this was called a 'hook' in the dying minutes of a tie game, lol: ![]() 3) And, just to add insult to injury, the Oilers appear to score with 5 seconds left, overcoming a mountain of bullshit it order to push the game to overtime. ![]() Except... ![]() ![]() As was pointed out on the broadcast, the puck begins to enter the net, at which point it begins to enter Quick's glove. Afterwards, Quick's entire damned glove enters the net. While logic and common-sense dictate that the puck is in, that's not the criteria used by the league in these situations. Instead, it is based on whether or not the evidence is sufficient to over-turn the call on the ice. In this case, it was determined that it was not. Except... ![]() The call on the ice was a fucking goal. Though, in the ref's defense, he did change his mind before the review came up so that the burden of proof could be pushed in the other direction. He must have realized that there wasn't enough time left on the clock to afford the Kings another BS power-play. I swear, shit like this happens EVERY TIME the Kings play. Just gonna leave this here: https://vine.co/v/eYaHt7LvF9O

Now just to get rid of Bernier's and Reimer's awful goaltending and do something about our gross PK and PP. Even strength is great, if we weren't playing guys like Frose and Phaneuf... most of our games are good, it just feels a bit unlucky.
