With or without him we're not getting out the the first round, realistically. AV's refusal to play young guys with upside like McIlrath and Lindberg instead of struggling veterans (Girardi, Boyle, Glass) combined with an insistence on playing the same style every night even when it doesn't work will be the doom of the Rangers. Such a shame because this team has the pieces to challenge for the cup again, but they aren't being used optimally.
eh i think hank + forward depth can overcome a lot, but add girardi to that now jesus.
Unless you drop down to the second wild card or turn Hank into a literal brick wall I'm pretty sure the Pens will out you in no more than 5. They are just playing at an absolutely insane level right now.
It makes perfect sense. If you're tied but team A has 45 wins and team B has 35 wins why the fuck should team B be in the playoffs over team A. Head to head should only matter if both teams have won the same amount.
What? It's ROW. Regulation+Overtime wins. They're basically just saying that shootout wins don't count as much because it's more random. Teams with same points but rely on. 5v5/3v3 more are preferred over SO teams. H2H points is the second tie breaker.
The fact that the last playoff spots in the East basically comes down to who sucks the least says a lot about the state of East teams right now and why the Caps had so many points this season. It seems like theres going to be about 6? East teams in the next couple of years starting their rebuild or in the midst of one.
Except the Flyers have been one of the best teams in the league the past two months. Detroit and Boston have been up and down, but I'd hardly say they've sucked either.
i'll make a thread later for easy tracking and hockey dominance of the forums... same as last year, dump a SS of your picks in the thread too so we can quickly see who you are and what your dumb ass picks are
