JVR as a consolation prize...ouch.
That draft is bad. Kane and Ryan McDonagh are the only good players from it basically.
Edit. Just went down to further rounds.
PK Subban was 43rd overall and Jamie Benn at 129. So ya. Basically every team passed 4 times on the guy sitting number two in goal scoring this year. Insane when ya think about.

Putting money on it being Don Cherry.
if he does it without talking about Russians lacking heart I'll be upset. Thankfully he's probably starting to get senile enough to forget that.
Deflections are great in hockey. Something always cool about seeing someone with that great hand-eye. Or defensemen who understand how to slap pass off the end boards - always one of my favs
Nuge out for 4-6 weeks apparently. First Eberle, then McDavid, then Klefbom and Yakupov. Now Nuge. Amazing that Hall, of all people, is the one staying healthy this year.

one of Hall or Anisimov is going to die on the ice eventually. it's a minor miracle hall isnt injured. dudes never keep their heads up
Yeah. The Oilers set an NHL man games lost record the year they won the lottery the first time I think. Been pretty bad since. Team even replaced the entire med staff hoping that would help.
reminds me for when the nordique super fans were touring the league enmasse that one year. I always find that stuff funny haha. I also loooove the maple leaf jerseys so much.

Everytime I hear something new about the Drouin situation in Tampa I wonder just how much more one can potentially screw up their budding NHL career. It's like hes throwing a temper tantrum on the advice from his agent that it'll help him get out of Tampa faster. I hope Yzerman just buries his ass in the AHL until his ELC is up.
