I would be pretty surprised if they didn't all break 100 if they stay healthy. I think the rest of the top scorers will be 90ish and below probably. I do think part of the drop in 1st line scoring is def tied to teams having more depth and using it, so that's part of why there's probably less people over a PPG than the past few years Kane has never hit 90 points in his career and has only hit 80 once. Obviously right now it looks like he'll pass 90 with ease, but he's played under 70 games in his last two seasons, and most great players will peak in points before the age of 26. It's a good sign that he's continued to put up points after Panarin cooled off so much, but it's definitely not a foregone conclusion that he'll hit 90.

The fact that hes still producing at a nearly 1.5 ppg pace this far into the season along with the current 20 game point streak while playing in the arguably more defensive conference leans towards it being more than possible. Dismissing the possibility through the fact he hasnt done it before is bullshit especially as he plays on a team that doesnt have to rely on him scoring as much as possible like Crosby and Ovi were in the past. You can't use pace as a certainty - he could have cooled down while playing the games he missed. But he can definitely hit 90 points and is an early favorite for Art Ross - partially because he plays on the team that relies on him scoring as much as possible this season (like Crosby and Ovi in the past). I wouldn't be so sure about 100 points though - league scoring is going down every year, he fights against statistics.

Now I don't know how much you follow the Hawks and what not, but thisyear with Kane is something thats been kinda brewing the last few years. He's benefitting from having not only a ridiculously skilled fellow winger in Panarin, but also actually has for maybe the first time in his career a consistent center that can both win faceoffs and keep up with his speed in play. Toews doesn't really count in that regard due to the fact that the vast majority of the time they are on separate lines. The guy has taken all the shit he was dealing with and has put it into just playing like a mad man on the ice this season. I don't care what he ends up scoring this year, all i know is that he's one of the best players in the league have a ridiculous and special year and I'm enjoying the crap out of it.
