Also can I point out a couple of years ago the Islanders had MacDonald/McDonald, Streit/Strait, and Nielson/Nelson. It was too weird. | ||

I've already accepted the fact that they are probably not going to be great, but they have surprised me with how good they manage to look on most nights. We have the most overtime games of any team in the league, and we're pushing really good teams to their limits regularly. I just wish that we wouldn't lose to teams like the Sabres or Carolina as often as we seem to. | ||

Just some Gretzkying, like when he talked about Crosby or McDavid maybe being able to break his records. Yeah, they're different eras, but that only means so much. The only other player to ever go on a streak longer than 30 games was Lemieux at 46. Gretzky's was 51 games. It was only five years ago when Crosby went on a 25 game point streak. | ||
