That would be so hilarious, but then again I can only foresee this ending badly, like vs chelsea.

Champions league always hard to call but, Real vs City is 50-50 dependong on which real and city turn up. Bayern vs Atletico is heavily Atletico favored due to as said, Atletico hard counter Pep's football and Bayern don't have Ronaldo/Messi to carry them through. Hoping to see Bayern do it though, get passed Atletico would be nice. Real/City vs Bayern final would be the best by a mile.

And I like Guardiola, but I'm not sure if he is going to adapt to playing Atleti. He already failed against Madrid counterattacks with Ancelotti.

This Anderlecht side knocked out Barca and Arsenal youth sides on there way to semi final and in 45 minutes, are 1-0 down, Chelsea 9 shots to Anderlecht's 0! Seems like Vitesse about to get some more wonderkids next season haha. We on course for back2back UEFA Youth League titles! Like that Rashford kid from ManU? That boy is unreal. Only good thing LvG did all season was to bring him in. On April 15 2016 20:33 Pandemona wrote: Naaa the Europa League final is Liverpool vs Shakthar. Shakthar miles best team in this competition left and like Atletico in champions league, the only team left who can defend comfortably, due to a tactical beast in charge. Liverpool > Villareal all day they were the easy draw left, they are very easy. Not win in 11 attempts vs English sides too, even in the days of Pellegrini taking them to the semi final. You don't need Ronaldo/ Messi when you got Muller / Lewa Still, if Pep plays like Pep, he is gonna lose horribly. I feel Real has the edge over City, but so did PSG Bayern vs Real finals, could go either way If Liverpool fights with everything they got like they did with Dortmund, i think they can advance Sevilla played pretty shitty so far and should be eliminated. Liverpool vs Donezk finals, I give Donezk the edge

Barça won 7 games in a row against them before this week's game, and you could say Barça's playstyle is very similar to this Bayern's. Real has a terrible record against Simeone.

Any team would have a hard time against Atletico, hell I would even say teams used to counter-attack (like Real Madrid/City) would have a harder time than teams who know how to organize an attack. Barça won 7 games in a row against them before this week's game, and you could say Barça's playstyle is very similar to this Bayern's. Real has a terrible record against Simeone. Yeah lol. Simeone doesnt do anything masterful tactically. Everybody knows how Atleti plays, its just a matter of execution. The difference between Atleti and other teams that play compact is that they press high and track back once the press is broken with alarming consistency. Most teams start to lose focus with this around the 60 min mark but they are able to push it to the full 90. Playing without the ball and chasing that much is incredibly taxing but they are able to do it. On the flipside if the game goes past 90 minutes they are completely gassed and you only see one winner. There are no such things as a "counter" at the highest level anymore, except maybe in micro battles on the pitch. Teams generally shape up to play the way they are best equipped to play against with some minor adjustments depending on the opponent. This isnt rock paper scissors. I think Real and Bayern are safe bets to go through. But its a gut prediction at best for the Bayern Atleti game.

If Neuer starts to be the best goalkeeper of the world again might be helpful as well.

That takes alot of work, not even Mourinho can do that in a team for the length of time Simeone has done it for. To say he doesn't do anything masterful is a big discredit to what he has done and is continuing to do at Atletico. I didnt say that lol, what a strawman. I didnt say it was easy at all, what I pointed out, I did so because it is hard and literally not something even Mou teams in the past could do as effectively. I think Simeone is a better manager than Mou because the things he has done with the resources Mou has never done. Mou has always used really good talented technical footballers and turned them into jobbers. Simeone has only ever had jobbers and the odd gifted player here and there. But there is no genius to it that is going to catch anyone offguard. Its not like he came up with that style of play. Mou has never brought anything new to the tactics table either. He just picks stuff that he think will work and does it. Being a good tactician and being a good coach are completely different things.
