No bro it was Chelsea, best team in the world because winning against shitty teams in the PL is the hardest thing to do.
Exactly, the last place PL team would make 7th in La Liga. The league became too competitive for its own good which is why its a mess at the top now. You see, if Chelsea had this form in Liga, and taking into account that the bottom team would be 7th in Spain, Chelsea would be first place because they currently are 14th in England.
According to some people's logic here being the first in Spain make you the best in the world but that is silly because we can clearly see that Chelsea is 14th in England while theoretically first in Spain. I think this is a sufficient explanation and we can finally put this subject to rest.
I thought I had put it to rest, explanation not necessary.
Just in case somebody missed your post. No harm done
Haha but tbh City getting beat left and right in England and they beat Sevilla pretty comfortably who also beat Barca and gave them some tough games. So i don't know
So much trolling here, lol. Premier teams would be terrible in la liga, because they can't defend or have any minimum tactical organization or even a decent playmaking. They play only an old physical style of play. Premier Top 4 would be out of europa league spots in la liga.

Ah so then the record in the champions league this year says other wise ?

Then how about a rainy day against Stoke? Let's see how Barca or Real performs there.
Still sucking? Without Real and Barca spain has nothing the last multiple years in Champions League, you remove 2 of the premier league teams and you still have multiple winners and multiple semi finalists and finalists. Chelsea Liverpool Yanited all won it and finished 2nd in multiple years Arsenal even managed a runners up medal!
What has any team in La Liga done other than Real and Barca have done anything in the last 20 years let alone 10. Just Atletico who have managed 1 final appearance. I mean you have to go back to 2012 just since the last time all 4 spanish teams got out of their groups lol.
To be fair going back over the history to 2000 i was being nice to Spain, only 2 times in the period from 2000-2016 has Spain managed 4 teams out of the groups lol. I also however missed off that "run" by Villareal who made the semi finals.
So i would say it is more Spanish fans over rating their teams just because they have Barcelona and Real Madrid flying the flag and raising the bar way higher than their league suggests it should be

Atletico CL final and Atletico Ro8 in the last two years? That is 3 teams. I don't see a lot of difference with PL Chealsea and MUtd this last years. If you are going to add Arsenal talking about CL we can add the two Valencia CL finals too. Spanish teams can't be so bad when minor spanish teams have won 6 of the last 10 Europe League.
I'm just tired about "Zeo" attitude about la liga. His posts about la liga are bullshit, and he clearly hasn't watched any match of the league. Spain has very good teams, Atletico is the team with less goals received in Europe of the top 5 european leagues. Celta and Villareal play beautiful football . Sevilla and Valencia are irregular but last year made more than 75 points and won Barça/madrid. Athletic is one of the hardest team to win in their stadium , etc.

We have teams that are hard to win in their stadium too. Barcelona and Madrid most of the years loose points at Athletic Bilbao stadium, and they defeated Barcelona in the Supercup 4-0.
And about the weather, I would like to watch Premier teams visiting Sevilla in August/September at 40-50 degrees too
Spanish teams have been dominating the europa league for a while though. And I don't think anyone is argueing that the PL wasn't incredibly dominant for a time (They delivered 4 semi finalists one season iirc). It's just that the last couple of years they haven't really performed well at all.
Its fine for our players to play in extreme heat most of them are brazilian/spanish anyway
What you just said about your domestic league haitike can be said about any domestic league, Chelsea haven't won at Newcastle in many many many seasons, Mourinho Chelsea teams when we won league by 20+ points still have failed to win in Newcastle. Just one of those things, yes Spanish teams do well in Europa League but we all know that at certain stages English teams call that a hinderance until you get to last 8. Chelsea won that competition very easily when we played in but rightfully so it is sub tier competition with at best rank 3 group stage champions league teams.
Champions League is the only competition you can "try" to compare leagues in due to it is the best of the leagues. Like i also said no one questions Real and Barcelona in those competitions they are always in the top 3 favorites to win said competition but the rest of La Liga teams are not top 8 to win the competition.
Sport's highest tribunal will meet on Tuesday to consider temporarily lifting the 90-day suspension on Michel Platini barring him from seeking the presidency of football's scandal-plagued governing body FIFA.
Platini, the European football boss who until recently was seen as the man to lead FIFA out of its worst ever graft crisis, was suspended by FIFA's ethics committee on Oct. 8 pending a full investigation into his conduct.
Sepp Blatter, who has been FIFA president since 1998, was also suspended after being swept up by a crisis that has led to criminal investigations into the sport in both Switzerland and the United States.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said it had invited both Platini and FIFA's legal representatives to a hearing on Tuesday "limited to the issue as to whether or not the provisional 90-day suspension imposed on M. Platini should be temporarily lifted." It said it would make a decision by Friday.
FIFA will elect a replacement for Blatter on Feb. 26. Platini, who has registered as a candidate, cannot run while he is banned, but might be allowed to take part if he is cleared.
Even a temporary reprieve from the CAS could open the door for Platini, although FIFA's electoral commission said it would study the case depending on the timing.
The investigation centres on a 2 million Swiss franc ($2 million) payment from FIFA to Platini, a former France team captain and coach who has been UEFA president since 2002, in 2011 for work he completed between 1998 and 2002.
Both Blatter and Platini have denied wrongdoing.
Meanwhile, FIFA's ethics committee has said it expects to make a final decision in the case, which could involve a ban of several years for both men, by the end of December.
Blatter told a Swiss newspaper on Saturday that he expected to meet the committee in the coming weeks. "Then the ethics committee must prove that I have behaved unethically," he told the Zurich Tages-Anzeiger. "And one cannot prove what is not true."
The FIFA corruption scandal broke in May with a police raid and arrests of football officials at a Zurich hotel just before a congress of the body. Some 14 officials, including two former vice-presidents, have been indicted in the United States.
Last Thursday, Swiss police arrested two more FIFA officials at the same hotel on suspicion of taking millions of dollars in bribes linked to television rights of football matches.
btw, do you know that northern Spain "Green Spain" (teams like Athletic Bilbao, Celta Vigo, Deportivo, Real Sociedad, Eibar) has an oceanic climate very similar to the UK? The year Average precipitation mm in Stoke is 806, In Bilbao it is 1134.
On December 08 2015 20:02 Pandemona wrote: Yeah raining when its 18 degrees vs raining when its 2 degrees is slightly different but sure no problem xD
16 degree difference? lol. Stoke December low average is 1.4, Bilbao December low average is 5.9. So Stoke is slightly more cold, Bilbao is slightly more rainy. Similar weathers.
Or.... Annual Weather Averages. August is the hottest month in Bilbao with an average temperature of 21°C (69°F) and the coldest is January at 10°C (49°F)
July is the hottest month in Stoke-on-Trent with an average temperature of 15°C (58°F) and the coldest is February at 2°C (36°F).
lol come on now don't compare Stoke to a place in Spain
The difference peak is bigger in January and February yes. But my point is the same, there is not so much difference for a Spanish team visiting Bilbao or Stoke.
In February Stoke has 6 degrees less on average, but Bilbao has the double of precipitations in February than Stoke.
Outside of that two months the difference decreases as I explained in December. Generally a 4 degrees difference with Bilbao being more rainy all the months.
