I'm glad to see Russ had such a great game and led his team to a win on his birthday.

He's been hit and miss this year WB. Having a very Iversonian season.

Lets go Rockets. Burn down that fake grind house.

Yeah MVP season for sure, I agree.

It feels like there are so many overtimes this season when top teams go at it. Playoffs should be insane, can't wait.

Smith certainly isn't shy to shoot it. Led rockets in attempts including 2 from range. I'm really surprised they didn't make 'nothing outside the paint' a clause in his contract.

his shot chart from that game fits the rockets. everything either within 10 feet or beyond the arc. he missed all of the latter though lol

21 points on 21 shots. Have fun with that, Rockets. Maybe his defense will turn around.
The Pistons shot 54.7% tonight and have 7 players with 10+. It was actually fun to watch.

I guess neither shot above league average efficiency so, sure, why not Russ?

Bucks beat Hawks by 30.
Uh, okay. Was everyone hung over after the holidays or something?

Classic Efficiency Whoring. Your point guard can operate just fine at a 56% TS, when he is the most dominant player on every basketball court.
Westbrook is assisting on over half of his team's field goals, averaging three and a half steals, he's getting to the line like 10 times a game. I believe most of the advanced statistics: adjusted plus-minus and WARP-Types, have him as among the 3 best players this season.
Now, he has a zero percent chance to actually win it. But he's having an unbelievable season.

russ is the go to guy for all of their broken down plays, and okc is already iso heavy to begin with. his efficiency taking into account the role he plays on the team is very high.
him attacking the basket is one of the best plays okc has

jrue holiday just gave up 12 straight points to layups in the last 5 minutes of the 4th

Draymond surely has to be a lock for most improved. Another 6 steals and 3 blocks today.

I know it's early and he's unlikely to keep this pace up, but I think Jimmy Butler deserves mention for MiP as well. He's been fantastic and should be a strong All-Star consideration in an ideal world.
|
He's playing like a superstar. Charles Barkley thinks he's a role player tho. Lulz.

Hard to argue that Jimmy isn't MIP at this point. He's ramped his production up to Allstar levels from what I think most people would consider a role player level last season.
