The type of basketball they are playing under Budenholzer is completely different from the past 5-6 years watching where there were so many cringe-worthy possessions and coaches who did not give two shits to do anything about it (Josh Smith jacking up 3's MULTIPLE times a game, Joe Johnson handling the ball for 15 seconds and throwing up a wild shot [although they did go in a bit; still awful possession imo]). It's a shame Horford was injured last year because I have a feeling we would have been seeing pretty similar stuff.

Ibaka level? dude is only 20 and has some potential to have a sick skillset. massive wingspan. can handle ball. shooting can improve. decent defense. heard he has good work ethic too. looking forward to seeing him blossom

http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/antetgi01.html Despite being only a 19 year old rookie last year, he managed to shoot 34.7% from 3, which is better than I would have expected. This came on about 1.5 attempts per game, but if you look at this year, he's averaging less than one 3 point attempt per game. I haven't watched enough Bucks, but I assume this is a Kidd based decision. From what I've watched, he has some very serious NBA skills. He seems to be a decent passer and he's absolute hell in transition for the opposition to deal with, because hesitation against him is death. His legs are so long and he's so incredibly athletic that if you don't step to him in the 3 on 2 he'll take two steps from the 3 point line and dunk and if you do he'll find the open man for 3. His ability to handle creates similar problems if he splits the pick and roll into the lane. Overall, I have absolutely no idea how good he's going to be, but he's only 20 and he's a blast to watch.

Even more so because Korver REALLY destroyed a lot of people last year. Of course, not many noticed and laughed when I and others were saying he is close to a top tier 2 guard. Now that Atlanta is winning people notice. They wouldn't have beaten Miami last year but they would, or should have alerted lots of people to their potential based on Horford/Korver alone and the possibility of playoff Jeff Teague.

Oh yeah, I don't think it's any insult to Antetokounmpo to say he's not quite as good as the best offensive player in the league. Good point.

He dislocated his ring finger doing a belly flop dive for a ball going out of bounds and this probably didn't help. fortunately, it is not the same finger that had the lacerated tendon from last year. Lowry injured.. i never could've anticipated that... my SAS analytics projection software didn't say he'd get hurt.

But is Dwight Howard the real elephant in the room at Houston? I have nothing to back it up but they looked better to me when he was out. Anything to it?
