The DFB Pokal loss vs Dortmund was just super unlucky. Honestly, I am much more of a Dortmund fan than a Bayern fan, but still it was quite clear to me that Bayern deserved to win that game. They just had a ton of bad luck there, and were missing key players, once again.
I guess Pep could have made them park the bus, Chelsea style, but the team isn't used to that and it probably would have failed miserably and pissed the fans off, too. I honestly don't think there was much Pep could do there. except not sending out Robben in the dfb match against dortmund and keep Robben healthy? I guess thats too much to ask for... Pep has been making many mistakes these two years and they have just accumulated now to losses to Porto and Barca. Or are Pep fans really going to tell me giving Lahm the stupid idea of becoming a DM, selling Kroos, sending Thiago to some doctor in Spain, subbing in Robben when ahead 1-0 in DFB cup match and selling Mandzukic (another vital player under Heynkes) were actually genius decisions? Also funny how Dante and Götze became suddenly so bad under Pep. Robben has a torn muscle in his left leg right now. Before that he had a rip in his abdominal muscles. Please explain me from a medical perpective the connection between these two muscles. I wont even comment on the rest, the idea that we know better then a coach with dozens of titles and informations we will never have is just wrong. 1) Robben had not played for a long time before that game, meaning he wasn't in top shape, and thus more susceptible to injury. 2) It is also an incredibly basic principle of human physiology that if you are sick/injured, you are more susceptible to further sickness/injuries. ....... These are both very very vague reasons. Im sorry if you are going to make this kind of argument then no one should ever come back from an injury like... ever. He healed, he trained he played and went off. It couldve happened at a playground. You cant hurt calf because you hurt your abdomen earlier, especially when its healed.. Thats really not how human physiology works let alone being a basic principle. I have 2 doctors from the Cleveland clinic laughing at this right now so dont take it from me. A weak immmune system is one thing but your logic is a stretch. He was passed fit to play. So he played. Unless there is any evidence otherwise I dont get it. Besides he's 31 and has made a career of being made of glass. Sure Pep probably didnt need to do it but its not like he ran Robben into the ground with a whip, despite what you might want people to believe. Players get old, they wear down they start getting chronically hurt. Its literally happened to sooo many of them. Thats a cycle most teams deal with when they rely on them alot. Yea I'm not about to trust some random "Docs from the Cleveland clinic" (even if they actually do exist) when I myself am a medical professional, so don't try that bullshit with me. Really, you're gonna have to do a little better than that. That aside, it's not like having the one injury made him a ticking time bomb where the slightest adverse effect would cause another injury. The point is that he was coming back from an injury, hadn't played in weeks, and ended up coming into a game where he wasn't necessary at all when the Barcelona game was one week later. Why put him out there then? It was simply an unnecessary risk with his recent injury, the way the game was played (the whole thing was extremely physical), and a much, much more important game coming up. Yeah one is a cardiothoracic surgeon and the just got his residency. Half my graduating class are doctors with very lucrative contracts. I can ask a few more but I doubt they will agree with you. + Show Spoiler +You want Linkedins? Dont call out bullshit you know I can back up. Medical professional sounds like a nurse or a guy at the pharmacy. Especially one that doesnt know how crazy competetive getting a residency at the Cleveland clinic is, "random doctors" lol thats pretty insulting to guys who spent 6 years of their lives studying 14-18 hours a day. I think ill go with them yea. I know for a fact we've worked much harder than you at whatever we do to be experts in our fields. Thats not ever arrogance because its just that we have to do so much more to get anywhere really. Kinda like Pep if you think about it. + Show Spoiler +Wow this turned into a dick measuring contest liek for reals. Really wasnt where I planned to go. So when people are like "this neck injury is a real pain in the ass" their may be some basic physiological reasoning for it. On a more topical note. I didnt disagree with the fact that he didnt need to be risked. He didnt, Bayern were playing well enough anyway. But then just stick to that. Thanks for showing me how much of a piece of trash you are Rebs. Your arrogance and disrespect to nurses (and I am a nurse and EMT) made me lose all respect for you. F off and stop talking to me.
And it's telling that you still have to use other people's authority to make yourself sound smarter, implying that you aren't even in the medical field and you're just piggy-backing off of other peoples' success in this situation.

I think it'll be wise to end the discussion right there, lads.
Anyway, that missed offside call when Dnipro scored was really fucked up. Like, the first dude is more than a metre offside. Referees in general need to get their shit together for next season.

Why? This is starting to become very entertaining. Me and my 8 doctor friends have grabbed some popcorn and are enjoying the show.

Someone needs to call him out on his piss-poor attitude once in a while, one of the great things about this thread is we can usually talk football without being total dip-shits to one another like all other corners of the internet.
I don't care what your clinic guy told you. You're more likely to re-injure yourself after a short and possibly rushed injury recovery turnaround than you are over a longer break where you can strengthen the body before easing into full speed.
None of this really matters though. Pep is a good coach, Robben is a good player that is made of glass, and none of us know what is best for his body better than Pep and Robben. Everyone recovers at different rates (or they don't recover).

And moving on.....we keep this thread going without red writting all over it from the others because we are a close group!.
Lets get ready for next week and the return legs!!!

Twisted: You once called me toxic but don't you see that Rebs is exactly that? He already made Mensol go away from the football threads, keeps provoking Pande and now has started insulting Stratos_speAr because he thinks he is better than anyone else in here. Please have a talk with him because I am sure I am not the only one who has noticed that.

Mensol told me that he left because he didnt like to be called an asshole despite his contributions.
Personally I think banter culture should be preserved in our thread. Having a laugh is ok, people shouldn't take things so seriously when it comes to football clubs... personal attacks are another subject...

Oh, mou revealed that he tried signing gerrard with chelsea, inter and real, lol. This can't sit too well with chelsea fans. It also greatly increases my respect for stevie who chose to stay in liverpool, despite these lucrative offers.

Yea it came of as rude to Nurses and EMT's but calling people random doctors is just as disrespectful. I apologize for that but do not ever tell me to fuck off, especially when you did the same thing with reference to doctors and implied that I was a liar. I just responded to it in a similar vein. Or do you disagree ?
No I dont have the knowledge. I'm not a medical professional. When I dont know something. I ask people who do. There is no arrogance there and there is nothing wrong with it either. Thats what people should do when they dont know something. They find and ask people who do.
So as I said I apologize but if you think that I was more of an asshat than you in this discussion then some introspection is necessary. People say things when they are mad and since it was personal to you I get it but then think about the guys you called random doctors aswell
Thats all I will say.

Ive never really insulted anyone. Except up there because he disrespected people I hold in very high regard. And I do feel bad for it, I dont really enjoy being implied to be a liar either.
I have my disagreements with Pande because for all his contribution which is invaluable I feel hes often wrong. Also the stuff he does no one else is willing to do so for that I personally am very grateful. It says me a buttload of time.
He also has thick skin and sunny disposition and doesnt take things personally.
I dont have a problem with the things you say if they werent trolly one liners. Every one is entitled to what they want to say but trolly flame bait that doesnt substantiate is more for R or 4chan. Either that or its a 1 point agenda that keeps getting repeated. Just type keywords guardiola and injury with your name and search and see what you get. Going back to like 2 year.
Yes Twisted probably has a bit of a bias towards me because we have similar thoughts, but all people are guilty of that. You probably have your private Chelsea/Mourinho fan club iwith guys here where you talk about things happening on the forum, and that tends to perpetuate your pov because there is no one to disagree with you there. Which I think is important to step back from. If I am reading this wrong let me know but something tells me Im right.

Fwiw, I did call him out on a condescending tone in the other topic but nowadays I don't have a lot of time to reply to these topics anyway as I'm not that active. I've also stated that I wouldn't moderate the topics anymore.
