Juve should advance easily with their time-wasting tricks.

BVB should be happy if they play 10-15 minutes football at Dortmund.

Stranger things have happened in CL football. Deportivo came back and thrashed one of the strongest sides I've seen to eliminate Milan (4-0, 5-4 aggr.). Counting out an opponent when you only lead by one goal on aggregate is fucking stupid, even if I do agree that Barcelona are huge favourites at home.

Result could've been a lot worse for Dortmund. I'd still say that it's going to be really competitive, especially since BVB are a whole different monster at home, particularly in European competition.

That said, the 2nd goal was atrocious defending and the 1st goal should see Weidenfeller benched for the next leg. I just don't have any faith in him anymore.

Yeah, all goals in Juve - BVB were pretty stupid. Weidenfeller looks way past it; Chiellini slipping; Hummels looked lazy as fuck as Pogba put the pass past him.

Yea, and Juventus isn't particularly good at scoring goals. With the pressure of going into Dortmund to try to seal this one up, Dortmund still has a good chance of winning, particularly if they don't give away a goal like that one Weidenfeller gave away.

As for Man City, I wouldn't count them out QUITE yet. If it was 1-3, they'd be done, but that terrible penalty from Messi still gives Man City a window to snatch that game and run into the quarterfinals.

You don't need to be good to score against Dortmund. On our good days we're winning by scoring more than the opponent not by not conceding. I expect 2 away goals by Juve and those 4 goals we need are definitely in us but we need a good day.

There's no fucking way you advance if Juve score 2 away goals. Italians have god-tier buses.

The pessimism is a little too much. Our defense isn't always terrible, particularly in European competition, where it's actually quite good. Not only that, but today the defense only gave up one goal, so if Weidenfeller 1) shapes the fuck up or 2) gets benched for Langerak, then the defense looks pretty decent against Juventus.

I also think that if Juve can only score 2 goals at home, I wouldn't have a lot of faith in them scoring more than one in Dortmund. Dortmund is one of the hardest places to visit in Europe (we've smacked Real Madrid around there twice in two years), and as I said, Juve isn't really known for running up the score sheet.

Good God that was awful from Messi. If Barca lose this tie because he missed that, I'm going to store a GIF of that double-miss from Messi and just plaster it in Steveling's face every time he fawns over how great Messi is

Hm.. first half was godlike by Barça. It was utter domination. I actually thought they were just gonna make it 0-4. Then I didn't watch the first 30 minutes of the second half, got home, watched a super boring 15 minutes with a scoreline of 1-2. What happened? Then Messi made the worst miss of his career (not the penalty, the rebound). He's definitely cursed on English soil or something when it comes to scoring goals. Still, he was amazing anyway. The only player I continue to dislike greatly is Jordi Alba. Guy is truly dumb as fuck.

I really really really hope Juventus gets destroyed by BVB in the return match. What an awful dirty display. Gross fouls by Vidal and Pogba. Bah, disgusting players.

Most missed penalties in the CL: Henry 5 - Van Nistelrooy 4 - Cristiano 3 - Figo 3 - Messi 3

Leo, pls, you don't have to break that record too, Q_Q. Someone should tell him it's a negative record, xP.

Looking at that foul and knowing that Pogba would've been banned with a yellow card makes me kinda mad. I know that Juves win is deserved and that we need to beat every team fielding the best players anyway if we want to advance but Pogba and Vidal man...

Messi just didn't want to stoop to Penaldo's level and score an impure goal, obviously.

Yesterday was the 4th missed penalty from messi. Missed 4 of the last 7 penalties.

I would celebrate if messi and ronaldo share the most missed penalties soon.

Well, neither of them are particularly good at penaltos, just average.
The likes of baines and balo are miles better.
