Yeah i dont like journalists who dont have all the facts. Because only Xavi and Barcelona have them right now, no one knows if Barca offered Xavi a new deal to be a squad player or if Xavi got offered nothing and has been let go. Both ways have there own interpretations.
Lampard did get offered a deal at Chelsea which he declined which is fair enough, he then shat on us by saying he going go to MLS to sign for City like a douche. Gerrard also did not get offered a contract and by time Liverpool realized wait he still carries us he was already signed by La Galaxy. Xavi situation not as clear though

Ah yeah, that's right. In other news, Lavezzi is probably going to Tottenham for 15 M€. No chance. Tottenham will be signing more young players with high potential resale value, not 30 year olds on huge wages. This looks like a classic case of an agent spreading stories to generate interest in his client.

Well Yanited REALLY wanted him last summer, maybe they have a deal for this summer? But yeah i would prefer Pogba first then Vidal but work horse midfielders who can pass and finish are second to none.

Xavi said that the team wanted he to stay and offered him to renew until 2018. But He didn't want to continue being a reserve like this year, so he decided to leave. And the Qatar team offered him to play in the team and at the same time training as coach in the Aspire Academy (and jobs for his brothers too).He said that he want to return Barcelona as coach or staff in the future. I hope He becomes the next Guardiola/L.Enrique
Honestly I don't think that it was a money issue like that journalist said, Xavi has a very good salary in Barcelona and He still has 1 year of contract.
17 years in Barcelona are a lot of years for a player (24 Barcelona years including "La masia" years). Good luck Captain, I hope he wins his 4th Champions after the 8th liga.

Xavi and Barcelona links to Qatar (and the support for the 2022 WC) aren't exactly the brightest thing they've ever done but that's not a reason to demonize them.
|
Actually Xavi going to Qatar is like selling his soul... How anyone in their right mind can support a country that uses slaves to build their WC stadiums I will never understand.
But I guess football fans dont care about anything in the world except their favourite club/players. They are almost as bad as the athletes.

he sold it the moment he supported the Qatar for the 2022 WC lol. Pep did it too, Zidane too but hey let's all blame Xavi? PSG is basically Qatar foreign front office but let's blame Xavi. Everyone in business and politics is welcoming these fuckers money but when an athlete goes on to take his chunk we should blame him?

I criticize every single human being who supports them.

Hmm this is interesting, i wouldnt mind if he just went to Qatar due to coaching and big money to play BUT if his brothers have jobs there too and he was offered a contract by Barca wtf? That seems pretty silly move. Im pretty sure he could have done his coaching with Barcelona part time whilst being a squad player?
I'd much rather he went to MLS due to Qatar as mentioned should not be given the time of day due to how corrupt it seems over there. The only thing i thank Qatar for is lifting the lid on how corrupt FIFA is and how we finally will get a new president of FIFA in less than 7 days? Hopefully the FBI then charge Sepp Blatter and the football world slowly repairs itself.

Qatar's offer is just too good to say no. I'm sad he is leaving but I'm happy for him to get such an awesome deal, he deserves the best. Anyone in his right mind would take it, no doubt.

Xavi shouldn't be poor and in his shoes (and with his bank account) you can value your morality a bit higher than that imo.

inb4 he is actually a double agent planning to officially uncover Qatar's cruelties
