It's not like it's completely out of Cesc's character either. Also, are we (Arsenal) set for third now, or does the rankings go by head-to-head before goal difference? Answer: We're safe, boys. Fuck the CL qualifiers.

Probably should be 3 because he's so fucking stupid. Isn't it a two or three-game suspension for flipping the bird on camera? This should be of an equal length. Fuck the CL qualifiers. Yeah goal difference first in the the Premier League. Head to head in La Liga. I really don't know about the Fabregas incident. It seems like very harsh to be sent off and get a 3 match ban for that. But it's also an incredibly stupid thing to do. I guess there's plenty of stupid ways of getting ones self sent off. It's a bit like Beckhams trip against Argentina. It's pathetic and it's never going to hurt anyone. But you also can't have many excuses for doing something so ridiculously stupid. Both probably should have just been yellows but you’re pretty stupid to give the ref the chance to send you off. I don't think kicking a football at a footballer can ever be described as violent conduct. The red card fine but a 3 match ban for violent conduct is almost as stupid as the incident itself. Jose Mourinho:"Jesus Christ" Coincidently do you always get a ban when you get a red card? What about two yellows?

Go away Man U. As long as we finish 7th, I would consider this season a massive success when looking at where we were during the winter break; we've kept 2 out of 3 German National stars on the squad and we will still be playing European football (even if it isn't the CL). The DFB Pokal would be icing on the cake.

But mostly I'm sad that we have to deal with another season of Sunderland in the Premier League.

Same for 2 yellows in one game, as that's also a red.In that case, every situation will be evaluated separately to determine if the ban needs to be any longer than 1 game. In cups, 2 separate (different match) yellows typically result in a 1 match ban too, while this number is 5 for a league. Thanks that's a pretty clear explanation.

It is and here is some more info: From the Fifa disciplinary code: An expulsion automatically incurs suspension from the subsequent match, even if imposed in a match that is later abandoned, annulled and/or forfeited. The Disciplinary Committee may extend the duration of the suspension. Longer automatic suspensions are regulated by the leagues/FA, as for the Fabregas suspension: FA rules are an automatic three match ban for violent conduct, so that is what the initial decision was/what the referee thought is was in his report. The subsequent reduction is most likely because the appeal process looked at the incident and realised that while it was monumentally stupid, it doesn't seem like he wanted to hit someone deliberately.

Rafa with a gigantic squad of awesome players with his rotation policy. Plus being able to win La Liga with Valencia and do well in Spain pretty sure he should do fine ![]()
