Yeah I guess so. But considering his form I was expecting more.

This is the downside of having messi in the side. He doesn't get to dictate the game anymore. Imo put pedro there and let messi start the attacks, or at least pass him the damn ball instead of neymar.

Pique's been really good this season, just hasn't been noticed that often, Barcelona's goals against record is amazingly good overall.

Oh sure, if you put it like that I have to agree
Lets hope they move on to the right side on the second half. Further, real got up by a few notches since the first 15mins of the game. Modric makes such a difference...geez.

So pissed at Barça..; Real is outclassing them tactically. I don't understand the gameplan, counter attack RM, really? Why risk a goal with short ball transmission in your own box if it's to throw long balls forward to attack afterwards? These players aren't made to defend without the ball, and their forwards never come to help defend, so wtf?
When Barça has less than 55% possession it's always a bad sign, and today it's 50/50... They might be tired after City but that doesn't explain the complete change of tactics... 1-1 is lucky, if they continue like that it's a sure defeat.

First half is all on neymar, if he put that away it would've been 2-0. Forgot to say that marcelo is also playing out of his mind.
|
Did any of Suarez/Neymar/Messi track back to help defend?
Of course Bale and CRonaldo don't do much either but Benzema is everywhere and in the battle of the midfield one person is a lot.

Alot of the credit for that goes to Madrid though.
The press is absolutely phenomenal and if it gets broken the zoning and recovery is on point.
Tactics aside they are just playing better, its that simple. They are offering alot of the space to Neymar's side and hes not been very good with the space on offer. Especially with the distribution when he does his thing where hes drawing more than 1 player.

WTF is this barca playing on home pitch?! amfg, where is the ball possession srsly

At this point I'd rather see Pedro on Neymar sooner than later. He works more and Neymar's positive points aren't showing this match.

I told you guys, lucho's barca isn't based on possession. They play more like a typical side.
|
Madrid is playing better, but still only 1-1, and Messi can always pull a trick out of his enormous bag. I'm not optimistic... And it will be actually pretty funny if Bayern plays Barca and holds like 70% of the ball.
|
Benzema is probably as important to this Real side as Makelele was to the first Galacticos side... And I can totally see Perez selling him for some pure striker -.-
|
True but it doesn't explain everything. These long passes make no sense when there's no space forward. Also, Barça isn't kicking any corner like they used to, actually Real did.... There's a reason why they didn't directly put a ball in the box, because possession is the most important thing for this team... Also Messi leaves a highway to Marcelo, this cannot continue. I'd change Rackitic and Neymar for Pedro and Xavi to solve that but I don't think Enrique is in control of decisions like this xD

The one they truly miss though is Busquets. They could camouflage it against a poor side like Man C but against real opposition in Real Madrid it definitely shows. He's so so so important in build up play and pressing. Very underrated player.

Zzzzzzzz, again they attack from the left side, at this point its obvious that lucho instructed that and I can't understand why he lets messi out of the game.

lol every foul against Barca equals yellow card.
