I don't know about Kagawa
I had the impression that Dortmund was only his last emergency plan, in case he completely fails in England. Nothing more. And now it happened. I am not sure if he is able to return to his old self.

Pure speculation on my part this, but I´d say the loan part is because he just came of a major injury. Surely no team would buy him for crazy money when he is coming off a six month stretch on the sidelines.

It feels as if it is the only viable impression to have from all that (we asked him for 2 years and he declined several times). But I'll welcome him with open arms even though I doubt that he'll play like the lighthearted guy he was 4 years ago.
Must be pretty hard for him too admit that he couldn't achieve anything in BPL.

Heard we're in for Papastathopolous (did I get that right?). Would be a sick good transfer, but I doubt Dortmund would sell. We also need a DM, but Wenger doesn't seem to be interested in getting one.

Wenger was an idiot on the cb transfer.
He could get Manolas who's 3 years younger than Papastathopoulos for around 15m.
Now, he gets to pay much more for an older defender.
Although Sokratis is proven on the highest level, he absolutely smashed cristiano last season vs real.

steveling, I don`t think manolas would play ahead of koscielny or mertesacker . I think he wouldn`t accept that and that`s why he went to roma to be able to play more.
I think Arsenal still have a few things to do in the transfer window.

Νow that you mention it, I did read some reports claiming that our prez rejected some more expensive bids than roma's but didn't accept them because they didn't guarantee first team football.
