re the d man: daren dredger claims that the Wings could have had myers for kindl and some draftee, if thats true I wish he had taken the shot on him. Alternatively, Green is now 4th in minutes in Washington and is the right handed shot the Wings are desperate for -- although he isnt the stand in front of Howard and throat punch people to keep them from scoring easy tap ins when Howard starts flailing around so he might be a second Quincey .
Anyway, as long as everyone stays healthy at the very least the Wings will be fun to watch again, all the old lazy dead wood is either gone or on the IR.
Lecavalier has been terrible in Philly, it's really sad to see. While players always decline with age, you'd figure a guy with Vinny's skill set would at least be able to play somewhat decently. He's back from injury and they're going to play him on the 2nd line, but honestly the only forward he is better than is Zac Rinaldo. There just are no kind words for the guy. He looks slow in all facets of the game.

Heatley, Richards, it happened to a lot of those mid 2000s guys.
glad the wild were finally able to take a shit on dallas like everyone should have known that they would.
really glad vanneck got a goal in and the power play drought was broken. sabermetrics say that the wild is the best in the league and heres hopeing that we catch up to it.

Richards' decline is more a product of how he is deployed, whereas Heatly just drove straight off a cliff.
eh I don't see how you could hold them higher than teams like the kings, sharks, blues etc. yeah flames do have a better record currently, but it's also 10-13 games into the season. And those teams all have a very recent history of success, and the flames have been turds for the most part. Gaudreu looks legit though
True, but then again I think most of those rankings are intentionally done in a way that baits you into talking it and viewing it more
in other news, Rangers will be without McD for a month. Apparently Koskta gets in vs the Blues, and I kind of wish he'd be shot into the sun already and they give Mclrath a crack. The Rangers could use a crease clearing, face punching dman who skates well and could move the puck. They don't even need points so much as they need a physical dude who doesn't cough up the puck all the time.
