Boychuck comes avaiable for trade he's exactly what they need, he's a home town guy so they would have a chance to resign him. Instead of signing Bostons 6th Dman, overpaying and naming him captain.(not that they did one instead of the other, just saying there priorities are messed up) They could have got a Legit top 2 dman, 2 seconds and a 3rd would be easy for EDM to give up with all the youth they have, heck they could have made the second 2 a provisional 1 if he resigns and it wouldn't have even been a bad deal for them. A winning, Defensively responsible, still in his prime veteran, from Edmonton and they are not interested... come on man. EDM is going to be bad as long as K lowe is around period. As Flames guy, its great but man is it sad for there organization. As another Flames fan I have to agree with you a bit here. Seeing the Oilers suck is fun, but at this point it's just getting sad. Like seeing some guy you kind of hate get into a car accident and falling into a coma, it's almost like "ha, take that!" at first but then 6 years later he's still in it and you just feel bad now.

It's clear at this point that he is not ready for the NHL.

He's no shutdown, or #1 pairing. He never has been, and he's on the downside of his career. It was a joke about Ference not being a real NHL defensemen. Took the line usually said about raw rookies and inserted Ference's name. Comedy ensued. The Oilers are fairly weak at defense and I still don't understand Ference in the top 6. Ference is the worst defender on the current roster not named Brad Hunt and there are at least two guys in Oklahoma I'd rather have on the team. God, he's even worse than Schultz. I play a game when watching the Oilers - I find myself not paying too much attention but then I turn my eyes back to the screen whenever I hear Ference's name, knowing that I'm about to see a goal against. Hasn't failed me yet. But hey, he likes riding his bike and stuff so better make him the captain and give him a no-trade clause, lol.

Colborne tied for the league lead in Assists Raymond tied for second in goals 4th place in the west Hiller has stopped 99 of the last 101 shots hes faced... We've played more games than any other team... but no one really predicted us finding this kind of success.

In other news, boy that drunk agent of a former GM sure did a number on the Canucks. Went from having 1 good goalie and maybe one great goalie to one washed up goalie and a kid getting riddled with pucks.
