I like PER because it always says Anthony Davis is like the 3rd best player in the league which rules, even if it's a shitty stupid stat.

Is there anyone else listening to the post game conference on nba.com? The voices are extra extra low, it's hilarious.

to be honest though 538 has been pretty crappy. There are def more bad than good articles on there it seems.

538's biggest problem is that many of their "articles" are just data dumps. While they don't need every article to have an in depth analysis, they lack articles having one. Feels like they have an article quota but don't have enough manpower to do in depth analysis.
The rest of the site is like their basketball articles. After I finish reading through the numbers, I'm surprised to find that the article is already over.
|
Or they just come to uninteresting conclusions, like they series about what is the Midwest.
|
I read that and the follow-up article about the South. I don't even recall a conclusion, just a few guesses on what the numbers may mean.

Holy shit, I just learned that Aron Baynes is from New Zealand, just like Steven Adams. Watching him last night just reminded me of Adams for some reason. Is this a New Zealand thing?

Stop the presses... Bynum is officially out for the remainder of the playoffs At least he won't be traveling with the team anymore. Maybe he'll get out of Hibberts day-terrors.

The Pacers looked unstoppable during a stretch in the regular season. I really don't know why they aren't at that level anymore. Typically teams step up, not down during the playoffs.

Ya I completely agree with that on 538 andrewlt and clutz.
@unteqair: Sterling has also been voted to be kicked out before I have heard/read. When he moved the Clips from SD to LA he allegedly broke some kind of notice-rule and they wanted to terminate him and sued him for $25 million. Sterling countersued for $100 million and then they just decided to settle (in other words, Stern backed down).
Nothing like the stories of him letting his rich friends into the locker room after games so they can admire the players' "beautiful bodies" though..
And I can just see the NBA mother's day commercials with KD's speech already lol.
