Oh come on, you can't possibly defend Mourinho in that instance where he was complaining about West Ham. That team is a very small team (compared to Chelsea) and they actually can't do anything else (or they can, but they do have legitimate reasons to play defensively/park the bus). If I didn't know you any better, I'd say you're trolling. Mourinho is a complete clown and constantly contradicts himself. Whines about referee decisions nonstop, yet says nothing when it goes his way. Big fucking crybaby he is.
If Bayern misses Ribery Robben and Müller they won't change their tactic. They'll still play possession football with less clinical strikers. Then again, they have a very deep squad, but still.
I really don't get why you want to defend your team this much when pretty much the entire world is disgusted by their performance yesterday. If it was my team (Ajax) playing like that I'd hide in shame and cheer for those that would go into a protest march to make something happen.

LOL Wow, jesus Twisted. Your literally saying, if you don't play attacking, passing football with 60% possession you don't deserve to win a game of football or have any success or fans or money behind you lol.
I just told you the reason why i said about the West Ham moaning, due to West Ham coming for a draw in a league game and getting it, he has every right to say they came to park the bus and they did it. Which is what he said? What is wrong with that, if Simeone said that last night what is wrong with that? Nothing, it is a fair point. When Barcelona were in their prime what teams went "toe to toe" against them? NONE, no one, zero. They all sat back, closed down for 90 minutes and countered. Did all those teams get the same rejected response? Did everyone say they don't deserve fans or money or success? No they didn't because everyone did it! Atletico play the same way Chelsea do in most of their league games, teams sit back and they try pass their way through them. The difference is they have Diego Costa and Villa where as Chelsea only have Eto'o scoring freely. So they are walking their league. But they still play the /defend /counter football, they did it to Barca the last round!
What i mentioned about Bayern is that if they didn't have those 3 players they would not score as much. You take goals out of the team the odds are they are not going to score as much if any. They will always play the same way they have a manger who only knows how to play this way xD Mourinho and Simeone can play two different ways, like they did. Simeone can /defend /counter or he could do what he did last night where he tries to play through teams and gets crosses into the box. Chelsea do that way 95% of the time in England, play through teams, well we don't cross much these days we try and play through them most of the time.
Entire world outside of England. Daily Mirror Daily Star Both the Express and Mail are leading with the story that Mourinho is going to play his kids vs Liverpool is Abramovich lets him to so ^_^
England invented the game we know how/what is good football
That was a joke, but we did invent the game xD
Anyway, i will stop putting my point across now though as i think i will not win xD

1) If a team does not have the right players to play a certain style it should not. Chelsea playing anyway else than they did yesterday would be stupid, because with their quite old squad and playing style its an auto loss for them if they do it.
2) It is still ugly to watch. Still it deserves some respect as it is not easy to defend well over 90 minutes. However its kinda pointless to ask for too much respect for something that is just dull and horrible to watch.
3) A team defeding 90 minutes and making one lucky punch certainly can deserve to win a match but then again 99% of the watchers dont like the fact that a team which plays anti football just won due to it.
--> You cant blame a team playing to its best chances to win the game --> You cant blame people for not liking it
--> You can call it ''skilled'' or ''well done'' but its still not nice to watch. Period.
thats basically it

Haha we can always agree to disagree Pande
My point basically revolves around the fact that I think Chelsea might have lost a few casual fans last night, and football may have lost a few casual fans. It's just a disservice to the football world in its entirety. I liked Rebs' point where he said he missed the first CL semi final in 20 years and if a huge football fan like him was not gonna bother with a fricking CL semi-final, whose to say we won't lose a bunch of other fans as well? Every team has an obligation to make the game fun to watch, and Chelsea didn't do that last night. I'm not saying you can't play defensively or only teams that play 60% possession football are allowed to win football, but when you don't even try to make some type of combination football on counters but instead just lob it forward across the halfway line for 90 minutes (with 11vs11, one man down I could understand it), it's just really counterproductive and it's the reason people call it anti-football.
I was criticizing Chelsea last time as well but then I just didn't like their style and it was just personal preference, but that perfect counter-goal by Drogba (don't know if it was in the final or semi-final, don't remember) was a thing of beauty. But in last nights' game, Chelsea didn't even try anything like that. Atletico is a pretty defense minded team, but against Barcelona they hounded them down high up on the pitch and produced several chances off that, it was a joy to watch.
And Mourinho wanting to field a b-team against Liverpool is something I also can't agree with. It's corruption of a competition because they're doing Man City a huge disservice. I can understand resting a few players, but from what I've read, Mourinho wouldn't mind fielding 11 other players.

Yes i agree with that. But again labeling Chelsea as doing that all the time is just plain wrong. Like i said 95% of time we play free flowing football trying to pass through the eye of a needle etc
But yeah what phil said xD

Yeah this is true, but there is some shady rulings on it. You have to name a 23 man squad i think in the premier league, im sure we could field the later half of that 23 man squad and be ok with the rules? Who knows, but of course he is basically saying fuck that game we lost the league lets focus on the cup. Which of course even i think is wrong, but if you ask me would you rather beat Liverpool and them still might win the league and lose to Atletico. Or would you rather have a much better chance at beating Atletico and lose to Liverpool, it is a no brainer.

Today the LB for Real is probably Coentrao (defends Robben) and the RB should be Carvajal (defends Ribery).
I'm hoping for some Bayern goals myself.

hype hype hype!! :D hope Ronaldo and Bale can play! Both teams have volatile skilllevels, so dont know whats gonna happen. Guardiola must (!) field Müller today, since he made 3 goals in Semifinals last year (+ an assist and an infamous block)! Also Pepe cant injure him, cause there are no muscles to injure I think this series will be awesome!!
about fielding B-teams. thats the problem of a league system, there will be games the playing teams dont care about, while the games still influence the league. even worse, groupsystems like in the worldcup can make teams want to lose games on purpose. I have difficulties blaming a coach for that then.
btw. Chelsea played beautiful aggressive football against Bayern in the championsleague final. if you dont believe, watch the full game on youtube. Its just that their performance against Barca stuck in the memories.

I am a Bayern (and germany internationally) supporter but i hope that Bayern loses today and loses the semi. Just to get people in Munich and German Media back to normal.

this statement makes no sense what so ever. Especially after the loses and draws in Liga games they are not arrogant at all..

The possibility of another 2012, dortmund the week before cl and chelsea in the finals, scares me too. But the media is already kinda back to normal after the irrelevant games in the last weeks.. i think its pretty much 50:50 and hope we will see a good game tonight, a little little bit in our favour cause of the home game next week - which turns around if we dont score today.

This is not even close to the truth. This game was as bad as yesterdays semi final. I think bayern had 21 corners at the end of the game and chelsea had 1? You can argue that the supercup final last year was a nice game to watch and chelsea did their part to make it enjoyable but CL final 2012 was a game on one goal.

yeah thats like the lie of the century lol

My two go-to streams are down right now. I'd appreciate some alternative suggestions via pm.

Yeah i would think he would be talking about the Super Cup and not the Champions League? We were not the better team in the Super Cup but it was close, we ran them ragged even with 10men and absorbed everything they through at us minus a fabulous Ribery goal and a last minute equalizer ;_;
